Unfortunately I'm in the minority that can't eat the highly refined stuff at all. Besides, I ate it when I was younger, before I developed the allergy, and it was disgusting and I didn't get why people liked it so much. So I don't feel like I'm missing out. I'd rather go to Panera or Chipotle if I'm going out to eat, or more recently Subway

Our only chain restaurant visits are Buffalo Wild Wings (DW loves wings and loves the hottest of the hottest spices) once a week while our DD has a two hour rehearsal and we have time to kill. DD does love CFA, but we don't visit very often.

We like the local places - best example that I know you would be familiar with is An Poitin Stil! Although, it is a bit 'trendy' for us. Maggie's in Westminster is more our speed (and I would encourage you to visit some time).

BTW (continuing to derail discussion for personal things), the band director from your University spent the day with my students on Wednesday and it was excellent. He and I go way back and the HS kids loved him.

Due to technical difficulties (A dwarf cardboard cutout came out of the printer missing an ear) the mine train won't be ready until page 2018.

We've watched it a few times - only during the summer - it was really cool to watch when a shuttle would be approaching or leaving.

Except for a few local chains (Surf Taco, Fins, Windmill), BWW has been the only chain I really dine at anymore. I live closer to all the local places than the chain restaurants located in the giant ball of traffic and strip malls 15 minutes south of me. BWW is next to the movie theater and has a lot of beer taps, so they usually end up as my top pick.
