You got: ’60s Rock

Rock in the ’60s was a constantly evolving thing, with wildly inventive artists like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and The Who basically making up rock culture as they went along. This is an extremely earnest and progressive period too, with most of the counterculture defined by hippie ideals

Rock music in the ’70s was huge and wildly ambitious, from the majestic riffs of Led Zeppelin and the theatrical art rock of David Bowie to the ornate pop of Electric Light Orchestra and the elaborate soundscapes of Pink Floyd. This is the time when the idea of the “rock star” really takes shape, as pretty much everyone involved in the rock scene was basically an out of control hedonist.
Um... okay...

I like how your dog drags all the chew toys up on the bed with him (or her?)!! My dog drags his all over the house. The other day, he put one toy in the entry to each room. Why? Haven't a clue, but I'm sure there's some deep meaning in this ritual to him . . .

Have a good day Sagateers! Off to work now.

That was my desperate attempt to keep him on my bed and off my daughter's bed (she was still in it asleep).

She's doing well but it looks like a neighbor may keep her. My wife was concerned about the cats not getting along with her. The neighbor has another young dog and they play together great.

Awww - its so hard when you have other pets trying to maintain the calm in the house. My husband wants another dog. I say 65 pounds of dog in the house at a time is quite enough thank you.

The opposite in my house. I would LOVE a house full of dogs- every breed- and the roomie has foot firmly planted on ground.

:(

I'd love to get Daisy a sister she can play in the yard with. The cat just beats her up, they don't really 'play' much.

Is anyone else planning out their weekend already? I got a list going.

I am not sure how I got 90s rap.

EDIT: I took it again changing only the profession (from Pro Athlete to Pop Star) and the appealing pattern and I got "TRL Era". Not sure what's worse.

You got: The TRL Era

The TRL era of the late ’90s and early ’00s was a golden age for glossy teen pop, and the heyday of Britney, Christina, NSYNC, and the Backstreet Boys. It’s not “cool,” but it was the best time ever to be an upbeat, pop-obsessed teen.

My wife is the big animal lover. So she's the one who most wanted a dog, but is also the one most concerned about not disrupting the cats' lives too much.

We never intended to have 4 cats, but we picked up a stray 3 years ago that turned out to be pregnant. We gave 2 to my sister when the kittens were 6 months old and kept the other 3.

Meeting in Philly tomorrow so I'm going to get a cheesesteak afterwards. Then probably watching Hannibal and Coachella live streams. After Vegas I'm taking a break.

I vaguely remember you telling the stray cat story in the Ingall's girls thraed (or am I thinking of someone else?)

I just realized, on my way back to my office (I like to do a quick lap around the office building when it's nice out...) that the contents of my bag are much, MUCH more expensive than the bag itself. Coach sunglasses and case, ipad mini, cell phone, new wallet ($35) and my bag itself only costs $9 at Old Navy.

Hell, I paid more for the Disney keychains on my keyring than I did for this bag.

Such a stupid, silly thought. But it made me chuckle.

And yes the sunglasses are beyond fabulous.

You got: ’50s Jazz

The 1950s was the golden age of jazz, with titans like Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter, Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, Chet Baker, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Ornette Coleman, and Sun Ra all regularly releasing brilliant, timeless music. The 1950s aren’t remembered as being a particularly cool era today, but the jazz scene of this period was just as radical and debauched as the R&B and rock scenes that came in its wake.

Sounds like a great plan! Please have a cheesesteak for me as well. Its been far too long. This side of PA just doesn't do it "right".
I just need to figure out where to get the cheesesteak. I'm not a person who visits Philly regularly. They are where my sports teams' enemies reside. And I need to pick a hotel there for a night in the summer to attend a wedding.

Billy Joel got to watch a Billy Joel concert Wednesday.
The Piano Man himself was a surprise guest in the audience at Glen Cove's Deasy Elementary School spring concert, "The River of Dreams: A Billy Joel Tribute."
In the show, kindergartners through second-graders performed 15 songs from various phases of Joel's career.
"We invited Billy Joel on a lark, but we didn't expect him to come. It was totally thrilling," said Nomi Rosen, Deasy's principal. "We were all beside ourselves."
Joel drove to the Finley Middle School's Wunsch Art Center, where Deasy's concert was held, a mere 10 minutes from his Centre Island home, via motorcycle. He arrived casually five minutes before the 9:30 a.m. start.
"I asked him if he wanted to sit in front, but he said he would rather stay in the back so he wouldn't make the kids nervous," Rosen said.
Parents and staff made a joint effort to invite Joel. Letters were sent, as well as Facebook messages on his fan page.
"I found out two minutes before the concert started that he was here and it totally freaked me out. My nerves went sky-high," admitted Rosita Mallo, concert director and music teacher. "This was a very welcomed surprise. It gave the kids extra energy to perform."
After hearing the kindergartners and first graders, Joel started getting flooded with photo and autograph requests, prompting him to exit early. However, the memory was already made.
"These kids will have a story to tell how they got to sing for Billy Joel," says Kim Velentzas, 42, of Glen Cove, who was in the audience to see her son Harrison, 7, perform. "For a Long Islander, that's a big deal."
