Sounds like Canada is a heck of a place to live. Well... we have the same animals you're describing here, we just don't get them in the house (knock on wood). Except that one mouse years ago. That was a ***** to get trapped. So, it's not enough that we have mice. Now we have raccoons.
Apparently, they have shimmied up the tree, tore out a chunk of the soffit, and are now residing in our attic.
Called the specialists today. Apparently, it's a multi day process. Trap and release, trap and release, seal up the entry hole. Ugh!
Have to get rid of them before they have babies up there. Then, the price goes through the roof.
We had a professional tree trimmer in a couple of years ago. I considered having the tree cut down entirely.
- 40 years old.
- Keeps making the deck heave.
- The neighbours next door curse me when the keys flood their pool.
- 60+ bags of leaves every fall.
Guess we chose wrong!

It's the brain of every trash can. Either that or chewed up bubble gum.You have a thinking blender?
Our problem is that we live at the very edge of town. Immediately behind our backyard is the road delineating city limits. On the opposite side of the road is wide open field. We hear packs of coyotes every night. And often have skunks, raccoons and possums in our backyard and driveway.Sounds like Canada is a heck of a place to live. I don't know what that is, but I'm pretty sure it's better splattered all over the kitchen than poured in a glass.Let's blend something...!!!

Sounds kind of like my house. Pretty much the farthest you can go without actually going out of town. Open field in the back and right side, and empty lots on the left side. We get deer, raccoons, skunks, moles, coyotes, etc in our back yard. Normally only the deer will venture to the front, but a year or so ago we had coyotes everywhere. We saw them right next to our house, in the front of our lawn, etc. One was pretending to limp to try and bait my dog into thinking it was injured. When we quickly pulled her back inside (she's always on a leash), the coyote took off running perfectly fine. Googled the limping thing when we were back inside, and turns out it's a tactic they use to trick prey. This is why we never let our dog out without lights on and looking around at night. Our problem is that we live at the very edge of town. I am so ready to move.
