Here are some other ones I liked. None of them are as good as they could have been, but not much I can do to fix that now.

This one I would have really liked if the sun glare wasn't in it.

This one looked a lot better on my phone, but I liked how Peter Pan was on the roof.

@PUSH I feel your disappointment, but with technology comes compromise.

Your use of your phone to take pictures comes with the perk of not having to keep up with a real camera at the expense of truly good pictures that a real camera would have provided.

Personally, I would have left the phone at home and taken the camera.
My phone actually takes pretty good photos, it's just a user error this time for not having it set to the best resolution. Most of the pictures I post in the photography contest thraeds have been taken on my phone.

Here are a few more that I couldn't fit in the last post.

This was one of my favorite moments from the trip. While waiting in line for Maelstrom, we found a mama duck and her ducklings! The baby ducks were having troubles getting back up onto the rock ledge there, and I was kind of sad they wouldn't all get back together. We had to move up in line, so I wasn't able to tell. Then as we exited the ride, we went over to the lake, and there they all were swimming around! I love a happy ending! :D

After looking at the palm tree with the sun glare picture, I like it a lot more. I thought the glare was over the entire picture. Guess I should pay more attention!

I've been pretty happy with the photos my Samsung phone takes. I bought the 13 megapixel version specifically because I was going to Disney and didn't want to carry a camera.

Night Mode
The only things I don't like about the camera on my phone is the zoom is awful, and the night mode doesn't work that well. Maybe it's the resolution problem, I don't know. But my phone model is a few years old.

I think the night mode is pretty good on the new model. I pretty much have never needed to use my flash because it it.

I'm not a big fan of the zoom though also. I've had better luck with just taking a picture and cropping it in post.

Yours are way better than any photos I take on my iPhone5. But I'm sure it's mostly me not the camera.

My wife is a much better photographer than I am. She took some good duck & duckling photos at MK once that look a lot like yours.

Okay, now some post-trip thoughts that I'm not going to post in a separate thraed, because I don't want a debate thraed going.

Magic Kingdom
- There is ALWAYS construction on Main Street when I go. There is never a clear shot of the castle because the buildings are always being worked on. Also this trip, there was a big crane and several mini-crane-like things on the castle. At night they were all taken down. I BM.

- The dance party in Tomorrowland is ridiculous. It's not futuristic at all, and you can hear it inside CoP. It needs to go.

- Peoplemover is always broken down. Every trip it's down at least a couple times.

- The SDMT has walls down on one side. It actually looks semi-thrilling. More than what I expected. The detail is amazing, and I think it can be a very good ride.

- HM, PotC, etc do NOT need FP+. Pirates was consistently a 30+ minute wait because of this. Same with HM.

Epcot
- Soarin' screens still dusty... shocker.

- The F&G topiaries and plants looked great.

DHS
- The Great Movie Ride has the car roll-out working fully the second time I rode it, and partially the third time. The first time we got the cowboy scene. That CM did not have her lines memorized and struggled through the entire thing.

- On ToT I saw that "human figure" that people speak of every now and then.

AK
- Still disco Yeti... obviously.

DTD
- The construction causes so many bottlenecks, and the parking is absolutely awful. It's not even worth going there until the construction is done.

Overall
- FP+ is a terrible system right now. There aren't enough attractions for this system, and most attractions don't need them.

- The FP+ kiosks are always crowded and the lines are backed up. The line makes it look like it's not even worth getting FP+s.

- Disney is almost discouraging traveling with groups. The FP+ is a pain in the butt with two groups.

- Spontaneous trips aren't as easy with the new system, obviously. Park hopping isn't benefited from the MM+, either.

- The MagicBands worked well.

- Two CMs (one off-duty, and one on-duty) told us how awful it is to work at Disney. They spoke of the low pay and how they are treated as part-time CMs, even though they work full-time hours. One went on to complain about the DCPers, and how they get priority over part-timers.

I guess that's all off the top of my head.

So you're saying I don't have quality posts?:cautious::bored: If I don't have megalikes at least I'll take some credit for keeping threads/games going. And for the record, I'm not a dude. :grumpy:
sorry, I always say "MAAAN" as an expression, not as a remark of the target's sexuality.
I will try to call you duddete from now on ;)

Think he picked out his first bed.
adorable!!!
did he try others before selecting that one?

So many pages to catch up on!!

I am home now, got home about 8:30 am central time. Ride was long, boring, and uneventful. This is the first time where I really didn't feel ready to come home, normally I'm eager to get back home at least a little bit. I don't know what it is, but it barely felt like I was in Florida that long. I could go back for another week right now! Especially since it's 16 degrees, feeling like 5 right now. :grumpy: Saw part of the college campus as we drove into town, and I knew I was back to reality. If only I didn't have a bazillion assignments due within the next few days. Grrr.

Anyway... I'm home now, and back to a laptop. Not sure when I'll get around to posting some pictures, but I took way more than I probably should have. All on my phone, too! We never took an actual camera into the parks. Luckily my phone came with a 16GB mini SD card, and I have more storage than I'll ever need on it.

So that's that! Now time to read up on this thraed :bookworm:... maybe later.
Welcome back!

I took 903 pictures in Florida.
paranoid.gif

Last trip I took 230 in WDW and 80 in Universal on my phone. Didn't take enough of MK so I better go back.

Yikes!
Push really took tons of photos!
I usually average 200 per trip, and I only end using less than half due of quality.

I have a Samsung.
Quality is very similar, the problem of all the phone cameras is the lack of a REAL lens inside, they have crappy tiny lenses.. and most of them with null real zoom (they use digital zoom)

I've been pretty happy with the photos my Samsung phone takes. I bought the 13 megapixel version specifically because I was going to Disney and didn't want to carry a camera.

I've been watching too much Big Bang Theory. I was doing some research for a class, and an article I cam across had the author's last name as Benzinga. I read it as Bazinga and thought, "Wait a minute, is this article a joke? It says Bazinga!" That's what happens when it's on 15 times a week...
