story...
This morning, twice I heard a shrill little electronic chirp. I asked DH if he heard it, and not only did he not hear it, he insisted that I didn't either. I did check the detectors in the house, and everything was working fine, so I've wondered all day if I'm losing it.
Fast forward to an hour or so ago, when the internet started acting up. DH still thinks I'm crazy... Finally he goes down cellar to bring up the laundry and he hears the same chirp I heard 14 hours ago. It seems the box that comes into the house for Verizon has an aging battery, and lo and behold, I'm not crazy. Who knew?!!

No offence but.. people still use dvds in the age of HD?My Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks DVDs are coming tomorrow!

Coordinating FP+ between 2 families: total nightmare and pain in the . Hate it, hate it, hate it. If you couldn't tell, I'm a bit cranky right now. Tired, frustrated with MM+, etc. Today was fun though.
Tomorrow MK in AM and nothing really in PM... maybe just a relax time.

Frozen I got the Blu-Ray DVD Combo pack. I would have liked the Saving Mr. Banks combo pack, but they didn't offer it, and there's only one Blu-Ray player in this house at this point, plus my laptop does not play Blu-Rays, and that's what I use to watch a movie the majority of the time, and I've got a converter program that will convert the DVD to digital for playback on my tablet. So at this point, I like combo packs if available, but I still favor the DVD if it's between a DVD and Blu-Ray

I saw skunk roadkill a few days ago. Smellllly! It sad when your in a car that goes past it and it's too cold to open the windows.
Part of my 15 mile commute, to and from the office, is down a 4.5-ish mile long, 2-lane, shoulderless, winding, blind curve, tree-canopied back road. Sooooo gorgeous! You'd never know it was in what most folks think of as Texas.
Anyway, it's a roadkill-fest most of the year, and, the skunks abound. Not too bad to me, anyway...Reminds me of "It's Tough to be a Bug", actually.

lol. I had to wear a beanie to cover my head for Mass when I was little. No veils, not even for my wedding, didn't believe in that father uncovering his DD to present to a man stuff. I was a tiara gal.

You can get an external drive, but they're running around $60-$90. Cheapest one I see on Amazon is around $40. I'd like to play Blu-Rays on my computer, but not that badly, plus my DVD converter software is, well, for DVDs.

My dad, very obviously, slipped my hubby a $20 when he handed me over at the end of the aisle.
We got married in a convent (don't ask) and the 60 some odd nuns watching from the choir loft thought it was hysterical.

Funny. My Dad before we went down the isle said to me, Sure? We can turn around and go right out the door?
I cracked up when I heard him say the same thing to my Sis a few years later.
Your story does beg for more asking though.
