DHS this morning. Got all major attractions done, only thing I wanted to do that we didn't was Muppets. Ate lunch @ Mama Melrose's. I had penne pasta with chicken and cheese sauce. Delicious!!!

Epcot in afternoon for WS. Didn't get any rides in bc it was PACKED. Did the French film and explored a bit. Then came back to the resort for dinner around 7.

Oh, and before we went to Epcot we explored the Beach Club a bit and walked in through the Int Gateway. That was a first for us.

Tomorrow we do AK in the morning and then DHS or MK in afternoon/evening when relatives arrive.

Today's weather was cool in the morning and windy. Then perfect weather later and cool again at night.

Still below freezing here. Sidewalks are clear, but there's a foot of snow on everyone's grass still, and three foot banks at the road's edge.
I should be wearing flip flops. Instead, I am still wearing boots. And not even hot, black leather, high-heeled sexy boots either. Nuh uh, I am wearing fleece lined, flat heeled suede boots with mega tread. Not sexy at all!

You spelled "thraed" wrong! :p
Wait...never mind. Ooops, sorry...! ;)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Ahhhh, you guys are what I need today.
Kinda having a couple of sad days.
That just means that there's an extra dose of joy headed my way.

Not sure why I was meant to witness Derrick's passing this afternoon. As soon as I walked into the room, I knew I'd left it too late. But I know that the Lord placed that burden on my heart last night, so clearly He wanted me there.

As we all watched his laboured breaths come further and further apart, his daughter begged someone to check his pulse. When no one wanted to, I stepped forward. As soon as I lifted his wrist, I knew he was gone. The composition of the flesh changes almost immediately, his hand was cooling already, and there was no pulse ... all within 2-3 minutes of his last breath. Directly across the bed from me were his sister and mother. I could read their expressions as clear as day. "Please let him be gone." "Please let him draw another breath."

Cancer sucks.

Absolutely, eh? Nemo, if you're going to speak Canadian, do it correctly, eh!:joyfull: Just plain eh, is an American expression used with a completely different inflection. Used in a sentence it would be... Eh, you wanna get a beer or what!
Americans eh at the beginning of a sentence.
Canadian ehs are always at the end of a sentence, and have a clear interrogative inflection.

True to form, Americans make a statement, and Canadians ask a question.

I'm sorry you had to witness that, but I'm also glad that you listened to your heart and went there today. I know there was a Reason for all that, and I'm sure you were a comfort to your family there.

We've never been to California, so there's tons of stuff to check out.

Four days at the Disney parks and Downtown Disney; one day at Universal because I want to do the studio tour; and then rent a car and drive!

Maybe hit San Diego, San Fran, see the mountains, drive the PCH, dip my toe in the Pacific.

Making plans. Just need the cash. It will easily cost double, if not triple, the price of a WDW/Free Dining trip.

As I've posted before, we lived in NoCal from '68-'76, and have been back to Cali a few times since. We were ALL over that state. If y'all can swing it, do it. Y'all won't regret it...! :)
