I would like to deeply apologize for starting the diversion into the education rant.

I find it humorous that it coincided with the "Thank a Teacher" thread getting started.

And for more unlikely coincidence, today is the day I have decided that I will be leaving the school I have been at for 18 years. Lots of factors, but it is time to move on.

And, after catching up on the last 7 or so pages, I feel the need to add... while milk is bad after grapefruit, Newcastle is delicious after milk (ok, the first couple sips were rough, but after that :))

And, yes, I will admit some confusion - I was reading from prior to the avatar conversion and couldn't figure it out. Finally got to it and have joined up. Thanks for letting me play along.

Yeah, who got relegated to the dog house? I'm sorry, I skipped over a few pages, raging on about education and such. It's not that I don't care, it's just that this is my happy place and I don't want to go there. Hope y'all understand :/
I was on at the beginning of the education debate, but each post was so long that I pulled a tl:dr and skipped them...

A POEM: Ode to a clownfish, the European settlers to America, and the worst season of the year

There once was a clownfish named Nemo Fourteen

Every Saturday morning she had a routine

She would look out the window and check the weather

If it ‘twas snowing or raining and snowing together

She’d log onto a site called WDWMagic

And write up a post that sounded quite tragic

It went “Every year, for four months so large,

“Otherwise known as December to March,

“I whimper, I yammer, I yawp, and I snivel

“’Bout this worthless weather, which is quite uncivil

“When our forefathers came to this noble nation

“They had no idea there would be a mutation

“From beautiful temperatures to snow and to cold

“If they did, there would never have been quite as bold

“To traverse the waters of the mighty Atlantic

“O’er sea and o’er land, each even more gigantic

“They would have turned back as soon as they could

“I know for a fact that that’s what I would

“Have done if I were in a situation quite that sinister

“And that is why, my friends: I HATE WINTER.”

(I know winter and sinister don’t quite rhyme,

But I’m too lazy to fix it, ‘cause I’m out of time.)
Alright, you definitely deserve this now:
