I've never seen a season without returning players. And I'm 50/50 on Redemption Island. My biggest gripe about it is it takes away from the actually strategy and gameplay because they don't have as much time to show it.

It's great when your "guy" gets voted out early though. It gives you hope that they may win their way back into the game. Usually to be voted off again immediately.
