Hubby and I don't even get in to A&F to hear the music, as he is repulsed by the scent/fragrance/odour just walking by. He often has to walk on the other side of the concourse because the smell gives him an instant headache.

He gets queasy in Bath & Body Works and Basin too.
Those I can handle. A&F, not so much.
Candle and Bath store smells don't bother me. Perfume areas do. So I have to sit out Abercrombie also.

Bath and Body works I'm usually okay in. Victoria's Secret, Macy's perfume department, A&F...ugh. How is he in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot with the Layla perfume? For me it's awful, and I sometimes avoid that pavilion altogether because of that perfume. That and the one shop in Italy where they sell all of the perfume

It's not allergies that bother me. It is just the smell of certain perfumes I find to be awful. Abercrombie always picks an obnoxious smell. Norway's perfume is much more pleasant.

For me it is allergies, so it's not so much them smell (I can be around scented soaps with no issue) but when they've actually sprayed it around. It's like breathing in chunks of something. Some scents that I may not be allergic to do give me a headache.

Oy. Poor her. I love my Pup and previous Pups dearly too. I can't fish, would never consider hunting, I need my meats not to resemble anything that lived. I'd make a great vegetarian if it wasn't for the fact that I love to eat fish and meat. I don't freak though over removing simple bugs or dealing with wildlife that is outside, though I am not a fan of these skunks. It took me 4 days to evict a possum from my garage but I did it.

Now if the wild life critters got in my house I would not be a happy camper. I'd be full out Carl from Caddyshack.

I was raised on huntin' and fishin', although I haven't done either in quite some time. Me becomin' a vegetarian, much less a vegan, ain't ever gonna' come even remotely close to happenin'. That bein' said, I sure do LOVES me some veggies too, though. :)
As far as critter removal (of any kind) goes around here, I am the President, CEO, CFO, etc., of that subsidiary. ;)

If we legalize weed and tax it like cigarettes, Bieber is going to give the country or state enough revenue to have a surplus for many years to come...

Nope, not gonna' happen. Gov't. will weewee away any revenue source it tricks us into falling for time and time again and then claim they just can't provide this or that service and then shove the next Ponzi scheme down the throats of the lemming public.

I BM for both that and my mini-rant. ;)

Why are people who are hard of hearing so sensitive about it?

I am blind as a bat, and freely admit to people that I need to grab my glasses. Truth be told, I probably need bi-focals, but am unable to wear them.

My partner, however, is 74 years old, and is stone deaf. He is majorly p.o.'d with me right now because I've had to tell him that the music is too loud. I keep turning it down. He keeps turning it up. WAAAAAAAAAAY up.

He says that no one has ever asked him to turn the music down. Secretly, I think they have. He just didn't hear them. A) Because he is deaf, and B) Because the music was too freaking loud, he couldn't hear them.

Good grief. Very sorry about that. A working environment like that is neither conducive to a less stressful workplace or productivity.
I've never been one a' those types that's in denial when it comes to stuff like that. If I sense a problem with my body I go see the proper professional in a timely manner.
He has to know by now that's it's causing issues in every aspect of his life? If it were me, I'd a' been all over a free health care hearing aid ages ago. How many problems could he have avoided or minimized if he had done so when he should have?
