I just thought of the friend in question and her because of this statement now I feel like a perve.

I'm ok with this, actually. She has a fab rack.

It's gorgeous outside, I'm taking the beagle to the park. See y'all later!

Let's just say I'm glad I didn't have a mouth full of beverage when I read the last 2 words in the middle portion of this post. I'm thinkin' I'll be rememberin' this one for a while.

Let me see if I have a photo on this device that has a good shot of her looking more like a border collie...

Here are ones from when she was younger where the ears are more perked up.

Dang she is cute. And yes I can see the Border Collie poking through on the neck fur and ears along with her face and head being slimmer than retrievers. What an interesting blend of breeds, she had to have had energy in her puppy-hood.

My favorite sports movie is A League of their Own.

Back story: My two BIL's (DH brothers) married two sisters. My two SIL's Mom was one of the young women that were A League of the Own. She was from Southern, rural IL. My children know her as Grandma, they didn't realize then there wasn't a blood relation and she remains Grandma.

When the movie was being made they gathered up all the LotO women they could find, they were on TV shows, newspaper interviews, invited to schools to speak, flow to the premiere, endless attention all those years later. She is still a very athletic women though not quite as limber as she is 80 now. Not long ago she broke her arm playing badminton on my lawn. Such a hoot, my favorite relative on that side.

I am done with the Olympics. I've been watching Rocky on PBS all night. No commercials. He's about to run the steps in Philly and it's almost fight time. I hope he wins. ;)
Even if he didn't, I have a feeling that they will give him, at least, five more tries.

But he will give me a good talkin' to when I make comments about how weather people can't predict anything.
Seems like they have been telling you that you would be getting snow and cold air and they have been right on. They only tell you that it's going to be warmer to keep your hopes up. Otherwise, all the bridges in the state would be having to install queue's to accommodate the people that want to jump off them.

Yep, store bought and not resembling living existence.
We were raised so similarly, but, turned out so differently. Snakes, Bugs, wild critters..she can freak. Loves pups to death, though.
She'll kill me for this, but... :cautious:
She was getting ready for work the other mornin' and I was already at the office. I get a call from her, and, when I answered she was in full freakout mode, screaming and all. I couldn't even understand what she was sayin', so I started to panic myself. Once I finally got her to calm down a bit I could finally understand that she was screamin' at me to drive the 15 miles back home 'cause there was a small cameleon lizard on our bathroom counter starring at her. I was like WTH?!?!?! o_O I was... "Are you serious?" over her screams. She got p****d and hung up. Youngest DD calls back and says she got it in a bag and took it out back. DWifey called back a little later a bit embarrassed and all was well. She sure scared the livin' carp outta' me though, 'cause I didn't know WTH was goin' on at first.
Pretty sure that's the last time DS will leave the back door open so our aged lab can let himself back in when he's ready. He'd been doin' it on a regular basis, apparently. :)

Oy. Poor her. I love my Pup and previous Pups dearly too. I can't fish, would never consider hunting, I need my meats not to resemble anything that lived. I'd make a great vegetarian if it wasn't for the fact that I love to eat fish and meat. I don't freak though over removing simple bugs or dealing with wildlife that is outside, though I am not a fan of these skunks. It took me 4 days to evict a possum from my garage but I did it.

Now if the wild life critters got in my house I would not be a happy camper. I'd be full out Carl from Caddyshack.

The winner of ugliest car though has to be the Nissan Cube

It looks like something you have to buy in an IKEA and assemble at home.

In our area we see a lot of these type of vehicles used for businesses and are usually wrapped in advertising. Thinking because they are odd to start with, good gas mileage along with a great deal of clearance from the hatch.

Very rarely does a sequel live up to or exceed the movie it's based on. For me, it's Rocky II, The Godfather Part II and The Empire Strikes Back. Off the top of my head I can't think of any more.
I would add Indiana Jones Temple of Doom and Hellboy ll to that.

Oops - I put on my mascara 10 minutes too early.

I love the medal ceremony and the singing of the anthem.

(Now I'm off to work with irreparable make-up. Some things are worth it.)
I hate when that happens! Ugh, you have to work on Sunday? (I used to have to work everyday, did not like it.)
