You know, I would actually like to make it to endor first. Hopefully this time we get a competent pilot.:D

:ROFLOL:

That was always a running joke with my son and I: "Do you think we'll have a smoother flight this time? Remember last time, that pilot was awful . . . Oh, noooo! Not again!!!"

To my knowledge it place in Star Wars Cannon has never really be established. According to Wookiepedia it takes place after Episode 6.

That's weird. After they destroy the second death star, they build a 3rd? They didn't get the point after the second 1. Didn't the empire fall when the emperor died? So who built it?

But hey it's still one of my favorite rides.

That is one of the big problems with Star Tours...it is very non canonical. There are simply so many things out of place and no explanation has ever been tendered from an official source.

The Empire did not completely fall until some time after the events in Episode 6. The remaining Imperial forces called the Remnant survived well into the expanded universe novels.

Ahh thanks. I'm not a huge star wars buff but I did like the movies so I only know what was put in theatres. So excuse my stupidity lol.

It is not stupidity just ignorance which can be fixed. Grab a copy of the Heir to the Empire trilogy by Timothy Zhan. It takes place about 5 years after the events in Jedi and is among the best of the expanded universe material. Many fans consider this trilogy to be perfect material for Episodes 7-9.

I'll be sure to check that out. But I heard Lucas said he doesn't want to do 7-9.

Kashyyyk - The Wookie planet.
I believe they could do a lot with the story here, since very little of the planet has ever been shown in the movies. The problem with some of the other planets/scenes is trying to keep up story continuity with the fan base. If they mess up anything, they're going to get hammered. But, if they use locations that we haven't seen very much of or know much about, they can craft their own story lines, then it becomes a new entity in the Star Wars universe.

I would also like to see more of Gungan City and the Gungan's. And yes, I want to see more of Jar Jar Binks. I think his goofy (was he modeled after Goofy) actions and mishaps could make for a fun experience. I actually detailed a potential story line on my blog here.

The attraction should definitely "pass through" familiar areas, but the final destination (and I think the better "draw" for fans and non-fans alike) should be a completely "new" location; one not already established in the films.

Fans will get to look forward to seeing something "new." Non-fans won't feel like their missing out on understanding such intricate back-story behind established locaitons. :sohappy:

Pass by Kessel, spice mines and secret smuggles route, on the way to Alderaan, you find a planet not on any charts, Dagobah. Wonder what is there?
