I created my first post - a PTR - and posted it and then edited it a couple of times (clicked SAVE each time) and now I can't find it...help! I spent a bit of time creating it and would rather not do it again

It’s probably waiting for a moderator to approve it.
Did you add links to it, or upload photos in one of the updates? Those kind of things can trigger a warning until you have a few posts under your belt.

It is under Trip reports, and @nickys was absolutely correct - it was awaiting moderation due to photos.
