Where Can I Get "Remember the Magic" and "Spotlight on a Dream" Parade Music?

One of these songs is from a parade at Magic Kingdom a few years ago. Very catchy and I'd like to have it. Anyone know if it's available on a cd?

As for "Spotlight on a Dream," I was able to buy a cd that had it at MGM. But the song only lasts for about 1 minute. I was wondering if there's a cd or something out there where it has a longer version? Thanks!

Yes, it was. In fact, if I remember correctly, CM's hated that parade so much, they dubbed it "Recycle the Magic

To the tune of "Remember The Magic")

Hope we haven't gone too far...

Recycle the magic!
Recycle the magic!
It's time to recycle the magic!

The guests want entertainment.
The accountants said, "No way."
We had to recycle the magic.

We took some floats and costumes
From our last three years' parades.
That's how we recycle the magic.

****

Recycle the magic.
Recycle the magic.
Recyclin' the Disney magic.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah,
Zip-a-dee-ay.
Hope the guests like our cheapo parade.

Michael's stock options
Are perfectly safe.
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah,
Zip-a-dee-ay.

******

If you visit quite often
You may be a bit dismayed
Because we recycled the magic.

But come and visit next year-
We may have a new parade.
For now, we're RECYCLING THE MAGIC!

Come on, it wasn't that bad was it? I still have that song in my head. They also had the CM dressed like zebras and lions or something right?

Wasn't it at the Millenium also? Not just the 25th anniversary?

Yes, it was "that bad" the zebras and everything were recycled from other parades. It came out on the 25th Anniversary though.

For the 25th Anniversary 1996-1997 Magical Moments played with the "25 years of Disney Magic" lyrics, then after the 25th, they dropped that to "Remember the Disney Magic". The parade ran until October 2001. When it changed to SADCT for the 100YOM Celebration.

I have never found the Magical Moments version after the 25th Celebration.

I never realised how old those floats actually were until I saw some pictures, wasn't the first castle float used for the 20th and 15th Anniversary?

Remember the Magic is on the "Disney's Music From The Park" CD
that came out in 1996. It was sung by Brian McKnight. Its the last song.

The song on that CD is not the one from the parade, however. It's more of a ballad, and not nearly as good as the parade theme, IMHO.

I have the "Remember the Magic" parade music. About 4 years ago I made one of those CDs at those kiosks they used to have. The parade music was a 2 part thing and I put both parts on my CD. If you'd like a copy, PM me and I'll see if we can work something out.

Is this the 25th Anniversary version or the version from after the 25th Anniversay (1997-2001)?

I made my CD in May 2000, but the credit on the CD tracks say "©1996 Wonderland Music Company". So I really don't know... guess it's the 25th anniversary one? *SHRUG* I just remember I liked the music from that parade (and I'm normally NOT a big parade fan), so I included both parts available on the CD.

The "Remember the Magic" Parade music is found on the Japanese import "Music Vacation" from Walt Disney Records. It was only available in Japan. Its longer than the one that was found in the "Walt Disney World Forever" CD Kiosks. It has the music from several of the parade units, including the Aladdin section and Cinderalla.

The CD was great. At the time it was released (mid 1990's), it was the only CD out there that had current park music on it. Shortly after, Disney decided to rededicate its "Official Album" series of CDs.

The CD also included the complete soundtrack for Light Magic, Fantasmic (DLR), Fantasy in the Sky (DLR), and the first version of Illuminations 25. It was the first time Illuminations 25 was put to print in its entirety. Later, Walt Disney Records would but an edited version of the first Illuminations 25 on select "Music from the Park" CDs that you could only buy at the Disney Store at first. Months later, I saw the same CD at Target that had the Illuminations 25 track on it. Coincidentally, Illuminations 25 was the only actual music that was ever heard in the park on that particular CD. It wouldn't be long until Disney revamped Illuminations 25 and scrapped the first version of the theme (the first version had a great sequence where it played the official Epcot music from when the park opened called "We've Only Just Begun to Dream". So, when Walt Disney Records released their first Official Album since the early 1990's, the put the second and revamped Illuminations 25 theme on that CD.

Back to "Music Vacation," though. The imported CD also included an edited version of Spectromagic and Remember the Magic.

Perhaps the neatest thing of the "Music Vacation" Japanese disc was the mini CD that it came with. The CD could only be played in computers and home CD players with trays, but it included some great attraction music that first made its appearance on disc. Some still haven't been included in mass CD pressings. It was all one track, but you could fast forward to your favorite theme if you wanted. The Mini CD included ExtraTerrorestrial Alien Encounter PreShow Music ("We're Seizing the Future"), Tower of Terror Ride Through (without audio, identical to recent discs), Indiana Jones Adventure Ride Through, and Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin Ride Through.

I'm pretty sure the disc is out of print now, but you could check with some Japanese CD mporters. That's where I got mine.

Yellowrocket...

Is this Japanese imoprt truly a longer version of the song "Remember the Magic?" Or, does it include that song but simply includes other songs as well?

For example, Aimster sent me "Remember the Magic" from a Disney cd from the 90's. It's great, but the actual "Remember the Magic" song only lasts for about 60 secs. Then it goes on to other Disney songs.

So, in the Japanese import, is the actual song of "RtM" truly longer than 60 secs? Thanks.

The Japanese import `Music Vacation` lists Remember the Magic as 9 minutes 13 seconds. It has the whole intro spiel, and each floats theme. Incidentally, there are at least 3 versions knocking around on Disney Central - the opener and closer of the cruise version from the Disney Magic, and also the Fantasy in the Sky finale version.

Hi, would you do a copy for me of those two songs from remember the magic parade ? I can send you money though PayPal in advance for shipping and for the trouble . I’m so tired of trying to find a physical copy of that song …
