I am looking to book a trip soon. I usually go in September but would like to maybe change this a little. Is there a place I can find crowd averages for the year? I found weather averages but not crowd averages.

Thanks For the info!

Touringplans.com is a great resource for crowd levels. They have levels from past years and predictions for the current year.

Why on earth would you pay a website to see what the crowd levels are at Disney World? You can search these boards to find out the same information, which is asked constantly and given out freely.

Best time to go:

Any time in September bar none.
2nd week of January through 1st week of February.

Worst time to go:

Pretty much any other time if you don't want long waits. And yes, the secret is out about December, its packed all month.

Jimmy Thick- Pay for information about visiting a theme park...Some people need to get a real job...

I agree...I went to the site to see how crowd levels are in August for DL and it tells me I have to pay just to see crowd levels....Really?!:brick:

The fee is a very small minimal amount. You can not only see crowd levels, but you can track your days. Touring plans also tells you the best parks to visit each day and the most crowded ones to stay away from. I have a paid subscription and I think it is worth every penny. :animwink:

No of the things I find that people do not understand is that when the attendance at WDW is low, many rides still have long waits because Disney cuts back on the number of employees and reduces the amount of people that can flow though the ride per hour. This is not ture on all, but I have seen reduced loading on PotC, SM, etc. So the number of poeple in the park does not always equal lower wait times.

What is so awesome about Touring Plans is that they don't just use historical crowd data, they factor in all different conditions (holidays, seasons, rides open, rides closed, special events happening at the parks). I'm telling you, it is worth the money spent. Look you'll drop several thousands of dollars on a vacation yet think $10 is a lot for a full year subscription to a site that can only enhance your planning?

$8 per year (the last time I subscribed) is very cheap when planning a vacation to WDW, and they are pretty accurate in their estimates.

Even then, it's still a far, far cry from "busy".

WDW is never really "dead" these days like it used to be, thanks to so many promotions and events scheduled during those times.

However, the crazy-busy-you-can't-walk-through-crowd stuff is limited to the more busy periods. Basically :

Middle of Feb (school vacations)
Spring Break
Most of April until after Easter
June, July, August
Week before Xmas till after New Years

Are crazy, awful busy times to go. I avoid the place at those times.

I'm amazed when I see pics from them - I never see anything at WDW anything near like that.
