Ehhh...you're all taking me too seriously.

And to the Op, if you're that "Unexcited" about those parks, ride what you like & go to Magic Kingdom / EPCOT right after. Don't stay where you're unhappy. Last time I checked, no one forces you to go where you don't want to. :lookaroun Not being sarcastic or anything, just an observation. Do what makes you :D.

I'm not unhappy at the Studios. I have a lot of fun there and can't imagine a trip without it. I just don't wake up with that "OMG IM SO EXCITED IM GONNA P*EE MY PANTS" feeling on Studios days like I do on Magic Kingdom days. :lookaroun

Also, there's things there that I tolerate for the sake of the other people with me. I'm entirely sick of the Great Movie Ride and Indiana Jones but my kids love them. That Backlot Tour is nearly unbearable, but my husband loves it. I'm happy to do TOT, RNR, Muppets, and then get the heck outta there. But when the family is with me there's something there for everyone and I enjoy seeing them all have fun too. ;)

Life's too short to start the day being disappointed.

It's not despair or anything like you're making it out to be. Just an "oh shucks" moment.

I honestly believe it has to do with how often you are able to go to the parks.

That probably has a lot to do with my "meh" feeling. I go on about 4 week or longer Disney vacations every year and I've found that the Studios gets boring quick when you go so many times. The other parks still are awesome to me though.

They have these tickets now that let you leave a park and go to another one in the same day. Maybe your family should look into those. :lookaroun

OMG I SHOULD SEE IF I CAN GET THE HOPPER OPTION ADDED TO MY ANNUAL PASS!!!!!!!!! :sohappy::sohappy:
:lookaroun

When I'm at WDW, and I wake up, I think "HOLYCRAPIMATDISNEYWORLD" regardless of what park I am going to :ROFLOL:
amen. useually i cant sleep when were at disney, i mean i get all happy and excited. one time, when we got back from PI and EMH, those appliance direct commericals were on (which i thought disney blocked bc i never saw them except vero beach, and a couple of resort areas(like sannibel, frt.myers, exc) we had so much fun makeing our own appliance direct commerical, with a disney twist. i cant tell u how annoying they got..........the real appliance direct commericals, that is.

I never really feel blah in WDW, although I understand what you are saying. I love MGM because I love TOT, RnRc, and I actually really enjoy shows. I like IJ which I didn't even get to see this last time I was there, Beauty and the Beast, and FANTASMIC! but I can see if you are more of a ride person then that would be a weak park.

AK is really hot, but there is so many shaded areas there. That is really my favorite park. Plus I think that walking the animal trails is romantic.

I feel least excited actually to go to MK, and that's because it is always sooooo crowded and I get annoyed easily when I feel crowded by people, but I am still always excited and once I am on a ride I get over my annoyed feelings.:)

I'm sure some folks here have read my comments about how i "had to" goto MGM/DHS to get photos of Toy Story Mania and felt so put out over it.

I "had to" park in the worst parking lot, then I "had to" ride the tram past Hannah Montana posters, then i "had to" walk past the Hat, and finally "had to" walk past the boring backlot tour to get photos.

With Block Party Bash the whole park went up a few notches in my book. Far less lame. And i don't do drops, so ToT and RnRc are sort of like sculptures to me. Interesting looking, but not very functional.

I'm probably TSM's desired demographic - people who'd rather not be in DHS on any given day, are technologically savy, and actually spend lots of money on WDW.

I hope I like it, but i'm very skeptical and not sure it can bring DHS over the hump for me.

I am with you on the drops thing. Usually when I wake up in the morning I am wondering "why oh why does stitch have to wake me up?". I recently did a solo trip and I did not even go to DHS. I enjoy the muppets and fantasmic but that is about it. I did MK twice and epcot three times. I will say that I would prefer DHS to going to work anytime.:)

I agree with you Laura! I too feel somewhat less excited about DHS than I do about Epcot or the Magic Kingdom. Its not that I don't enjoy being there; I love Tot and RnRC. Hey, I still like Star Tours, and the GMR still draws me in, even if it is simply to relax. But after that, I can't help but think, "Uh...what else can I do here?"

Animal Kingdom has the same problem. It's an asthetically beautiful park, yes, but after Everest, the Safari, and Dinosaur, then what? There's only so many times you can wander the Jungle Trek to see the tigers. If I wanted to do that, the zoo an hour from my house can provide that pleasure, and at a much lower cost, I might add.

I guess the problem is that I've been to Disney too many times, and I'm serious when I say that. Since I don't feel the need to plan my day down to a T, nor do I have the urge to go on every ride or see every show, my options are limited in each of these parks. Magic Kingdom and Epcot offer more attractions, which means there's more to do. With DHS or AK, after three or four attractions, I'm done. At MK or Epcot, I know there are at least eight or ten attractions I want ot go on.

In the end, I think its the mentality of "I'm going to a park with only three things to do" as opposed to "I'm going to a park with a lot of things to do" mentality. It doesn't mean DHS or AK are bad parks. Its just that I like more things in MK and Epcot, so I'm naturally more excited to go there, since I know I have a full day's worth of things to do as opposed to a half day's worth.
