When Theme Parks Collide: A Combination Disney and Universal Theme Park Resort

Can't you just do one special effects show combining elements from all the shows. You could use something such as 2012, where pretty much every disaster there is happens. Actually, if you've watched the film, a simulator based on the plane ride when the whole of California is collapsing would be kinda cool, like an apocalyptic version of Soarin'.

Great ideas by the way, I love this park!! How about a Springfield sub land? Or a Fast and Furious ride? Or include the Transformers ride opening in Singapore next year. And how about Shrek and Madagascar? I think the Animation Studios is a little odd though, with Philarmagic, Woody Woodpecker and the Simpsons all in the same bit.

NEW YORK

Attractions

Hyperion Theater: This theater (modeled after the many famous Broadway theaters of New York City) shows a variety of condensed versions of Disney's broadway shows (Lion King, Hunchback, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Little Mermaid) as well as some new shows (Aladdin, Hercules, and Mulan.) Theatre attraction. Thrill Rating: N/A

Ghostbusters: Considered to be Disney/Universal Studio's replacement for Men In Black Alien Attack, this attraction has the same premise. The Ghostbusters have told two groups of rookies that whichever group captures the most ghosts gets to work in the Ghostbusters (wherever this theme park is) branch. The guests go through the ride, on two tracks, battling ghosts which they shoot using neutrona wands mounted to their vehicles, the Ecto 1-Z model.

Ghostbusters: The Great Fright Way: A live street show in which the Ghostbusters arrive in their Ecto-1 to find a reported paranormal disturbance in the area. The disturbance turns out to be Beetlejuice... and from there.... it gets hectic. Street show. Thrill Factor: N/A

Universal Studios Blast from the Past: This totally unique attraction lets you relive moments from Universal Park's past. Viewing rooms show Back to the Future: The Ride, The Funtastic World of Hannah-Barbera, T2:3D, and other film attractions. Also, multiple databases line the walls, allowing you to watch and purchase retro commercials, music tracks, and other multimedia. Museum/Interactive. Thrill Factor: ** (BTTF, HB, and T2)

Universal Classic Monsters Musical Revue: This hilarious musical show has acts from all your favorite Universal Monsters: Dracula, The Swamp Thing, Frankentstein, The Wolfman all performing their very own musical numbers! And, to top it all off, the show is hosted by none other than Beetlejuice. Stage show. Thrill Factor: N/A

Restaurants

Sedgewick Hotel Ballroom: Based on the scene from Ghostbusters, guests can elegantly dine in this ballroom. Slimer makes special appearances (via projection) flying around the room, randomly appearing at tables, etc. Sit down. $$$

Slimer's Snack Shop: A variety of generic snacks (including Slime Pretzels and Popcorn) as well Hi-C Ecto Cooler, the beloved, yet retired drink of the 1990's. $

Planet Universal: Inspired by Planet Hollywood (the building even looks like the Universal's globe logo) this restaurant is adorned with countless classic movie memoribilia and props. Sit down (2nd floor)/Quick service (1st floor). $$

Universal Classic Monsters Restaurant: Themed to an abandoned theater, this character meal offers interactive entertainment featuring Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. Sit down. $$$

Stores

Ecto Co. Store: A gift shop located at the exit of Ghostbusters: The Ride. This store sells all your Ghostbusters gear, including replicas of proton packs, ghost traps, and PKE meters.

Universal Blast From the Past Media Center: These kiosks allow you to purchase archived footage and audio from Universal Theme Parks.

Apocalyptic Soarin'..... hmm...

I like the Springfield Sub-land! I might divide Animation Studio up into Simpsons/Dreamworks/Disney, with WW being the odd one out. Shrek and Madagascar are being incorporated into the large scale Dreamworks Adventure. Fast and the Furious? I could put that in the backlot.

Oh, and I'm putting Transformers in my Islands of Adventure.

Sesame Street Around the World

I wanted to know about Sesame Street Around the World script!

Sesame Street Around the World will be a show about Sesame Street and its international coproductions, such as Sesamstraße (Germany), 5: Rue Sesame (France), Plaza Sesamo (Mexico), and Sesamstraat (Netherlands).

No offense Kermit, I know this is an open brainstorming thread and all but you can't just come in and change everyone's ideas and say that it's so. The point of an open brainstorming thread is for everyone to work together.

However it doesn't say anywhere in the title that this is an open brainstorming thread. I'm assuming that this is fgmntal's project so you can't come in and change all of his ideas because you don't like some of them.

That's true. But I am open for suggestions (I put Charlie's 2012 idea and Trevor's Backlot Adventure attractions in).

Fantasmic- A Battle Between Good & Evil!

Comments:

Hollywood: Basically what I had, but Night at the Museum....?

Lucas Landing: I don't know how I feel about "Death Star" area, with my Yoda attraction inside of the thing that houses the people that would kill him. Also, WHERE IS LUCAS LEGACY????

Backlot: Uh.... the backlot is only supposed to be one attraction (I put in two, but they intertwine). What's with Captain EO? And 1 vs 100? I kinda liked my music area too.... and now I see YOU DIDN'T INCLUDE MY PRIDE AND JOY THE HARD RUCK CAFE'? Don't you know that's your friends restaurant? :D Also, Muppet Studios was going to be it's own area. And why is there two Prop Shops? And why is there Sesame Street? They aren't associated with the real Muppets anymore....

New York City: Lion King is so... unoriginal. That's why I chose Mulan and Hercules. Good. You left GB square alone. I would've smited you if you changed it. :D :fork: :D. And now the Beetlejuice Show is included? Why not the Classic Monsters show?

Animation Studios: WHOAH. Way too overcrowded. JII? In the studios? And Mickey Mouse Revue---the most outdated show ever? Why not Philharmagic? Also, I purposely didn't put in Shrek 4D in favor of an all-encompassing Dreamworks attraction. But yeah, overcrowded.

30 Rock: Heroes... The Ride! Stock Market... The Ride! :brick: Heroes is better off as a coaster. And what is Stock Market.... The Ride?

Pixar Place: WHOAH. Also overcrowded. You overcrowded what was supposed to be the two smallest areas of the park. I tried to go with all original attractions here, so I purposely didn't use Turtle Talk, TTBAB, etc. And what is Amazon? Is that Up? Because Up had nothing to do with the Amazon....

Fantasmic...... no.

So, kermit, I like that you are thinking, but I think I'll just stick with my own ideas. Thanks.

^You got rid of a lot of the classics from the original GMR. Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Alien...I don't know if you are trying to be original or not.

If you are trying to make it your own, then I would have to give you a thumbs up. You don't really have any action movies besides Saving Private Ryan, I'd go with something like Indiana Jones or James Bond instead anyway. Also, you could try combining movies in the different rooms, like the western room at Hollywood Studios. My first thought would be a Scarface/Godfather scene.

It's your ride, but those are my thoughts.

Maybe I'm an idiot (probably) but I haven't heard of some of those films. Wizard of Oz, Indiana Jones and Casablanca are classic films that everyone's heard of. And what about newer films, I'm not saying this is a good idea, but how about Titanic, Lord of the Rings, Pixar? I would say Harry Potter but I just can't contemplate seeing that in the GMR :shudder:
