When is EPCOT going to add another country?!

What new country pavilion would you like to see in EPCOT?

Yea.

Considering the popularity of the show and the way it's interwoven in the past 50+ years of culture in the UK itd be a fun option back there. Even if your one word response tells me you're not a fan.
On the contrary. I grew up with Tom Baker and Peter Davidson.

I'm just saying it's not planned.

Any new country would be great. Thinking about the M&G and food, Peru would be a good candidate. They can have a M&G from Kuzco, Kronk and Pacha to name a few from the Emperor' New Groove. Not to mention the Peruvian cuisine can be rather tasty.

I didn't even think of Peru as an option! A Machu Picchu theme would be incredible, and I'd love a M&G with those characters!

The Kremlin? Really?!

St Basil's is a better fit.

Plus, it's more recognizable to the World as representation of Russia.
Woooops! Got my Russian buildings wrong. You're right this is the one that would look awesome.

I think we have inadvertently stumbled on to why EPCOT is kind of starting to stagnate. I'll expand on that a little later tonight as I have to hit the road for a meeting... lol :D But I'm loving the discussion!
I'm going to take this conversation to a whole new, completely different, level. So we have talked about the possibility of adding real countries to an already existing world showcase. A world showcase that is meant to highlight the different cultures of the world.

Now, there's been talk of WDW adding a 5th park...I would like to discuss the possibilities of this new park as if the main concept was a sort of imaginary spin-off from the world showcase. For example, if Pandora hadn't already been started in AK, it would be a section of this new park. The park could also include Atlantis, San Fransokyo, Emerald City, Asgard, etc. I think it would be very cool to see the imaginary worlds of the Disney movies come to life!

Obviously the reality of this park actually happening is not even close to possible but it's cool to think about and I would really like to hear other people's ideas!

I love the suggestion of Peru!!! Get's some South American representation without being Brazil, which makes many here anxious, plus could link to Emperor's New Groove (way underrated!). I would go back and forth on India and Africa due to the comments about AK representation. Australia seems like an obvious choice, and Greece too!

....Brazil with a recreation of the giant Jesus statue (although I'm not religious it is associated around the world with Brazil) ....

As much as I appreciate that large statue (heck, I've been there and walked up the steps to see it!), can you imagine the outcry if a large Jesus was built stretching out his hands and arms over the World Showcase?

People are incensed about the religious skywriting thats able to be seen for only a short while. A Jesus statue would get a big reaction. The St. George statue in Germany has stayed around because most guests dont think about that as having a religious background.

Well, of course they wouldn't build a Jesus statue to scale. That thing is enormous. LOL
What in Brazil could represent it? Maybe a beautiful big waterfall with rock work and small amazon rain forest (like living with the land only more elaborate).
