I hate to hear the monrail voce say "If this concludes your visit to the Walt Disey world resort we hope you've enjoyes your stay...." you kinda ignore it for the first few days but when it is your last day it sucks!! What is your indicator to let you know its time to go home??

I start getting bummed the day or two before its time to go home, especially if Ive been on an especially long stay. The last full day in the park your like, damn, I got to go home tomorrow. Then you see all those happy punks checking in at the resort all happy that they are just ariving. Dont they have any respect for us unlucky souls that are having to leave.....oh wait....I was one of those happy punks when I was checking in....nevermind. :lookaroun

Hakuna.....

I feel like you exactly.!!! A day or two before I have to go home I start to feel alittle bummed, but it still don't bring me too down.

The post on the people checking in while we are leaving was funny.!! I busted out loud laughing when I read it.

Victoria

Not old, just vintage.
It is usually one of a few things for me:
-when I land back in New Jersey, get off the plane, and don't see any palm trees.
-when I get home and have to use keys to get in the house and my toilets don't flush themselves anymore.
-when I realize that I can't use my Disney card to pay for things anymore. (funny story: Got back from my trip this past Thursday, went to Chili's to eat dinner, by force of habit I handed the server my Disney card as payment, she comes back 10 minutes later to inform me that my card has been declined. Never even noticed it wasnt a real credit card!)

Well it starts when I leave Disney property to head back to MCO, it intensifies as the plane takes off and I am no longer on Florida ground, and it explodes when I land in Newark, NJ.

I get bummed whenever I'm on the Disney bus heading out of the main "Magic Kingdom" gates and going towards the airport. It gets worse once my return plane actually takes off.

When the pilot says:

"Welcome to Philadelphia. The current temperature is (insert temp. here). (insert weather conditions here). Thank you for flying (insert airline here). We hope to see you again in the future."

:(

*shudders* Newark airport...after flying out of there for many years we finally started going to Atlanic City airport...much smaller...less chaos

For me on this last trip, it kinda hit when I left WDW on my last day and saw the main gate out the rear view mirror. But it really hit hard and I actually teared up when I got on the plane at MCO and sat down by myself in my seat. Thats when I pulled out my laptop and looked at my pictures which I think made things a little bit better but it also felt like it made them worse.

However, It was at that moment on the plane that I decided as soon as I get home I was going to get online and apply for the WDWCP. And that I did.

I start to get that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach the day before I have to depart the happiest place on earth. I hate making that dreaded call to Mears or whoever handles the Magical Express to make an appointment for pickup. Although I must say, that little video they show on the buses as you head to the airport helps me feel a little better. I guess you can say it's my last Disney fix before I get on the plane.

31 days to go!

I start feeling it when I have to pack up all our stuff and everything won't fit into the suitcase it came in so we have to send it via UPS or something and know that we will probably be home before it gets there...

When I visited back in May the driver of the Magical Express bus popped in a video that was about 30 mins. long. Thanking us for the visit, hoping we had fun and if we didn't have a chance to see everything they showed some clips of different things throughout the parks to consider for our next visit. Mickey and the gang ends up at MCO while Magical Express delivers their luggage to the airport. It was quite a comical video. Cheer you up before you go home. We also saw a video on the way to WDW on the ME bus. :D

We always spend a solid week with no rest. So we're worn out and ready to go home. But we get DVC-homesick after a few months!

Usually depends on the amount of time Im there. If its like a 3 day weekend during the school year I usually start trippin the moment we check in, but then I forget about it when I get to the parks and then may occassionally think about it during the day.

If its a longer trip, and we're staying off property(we always do the MK on our last day), then its got to be the monorail guy about we hope you had a magical time, etc, etc, I just feel like crawling all over the floor crying.
Then the symptoms worsen when we leave the gate of Pop half Century and we make the long trechorous drive back to houston.
