For me its the last night in the hotel, I just don't sleep well knowing I'm leaving the next day. That 1st night is awesome though-a constant rush. I can only describe it as Christmas Eve as a kid.

On my last day I went to Epcot and had a blast! But when the park closed for the night I saw SE Glowing in the night and I kept staring at it as my bus kept going further and further away.

When I go back in..40 Days That's the First thing I want to see again!

The last day of our trip I feel meloncoly just because of the fact that the next day DH and I have to go home. We hate the plane ride back to our trip, because we want to live at WDW/DLR!!! We always have so much fun.

I get extremely sad around the last 2 days. I'm like wow- only two days left, then I start rushing trying to do everything over and over again, to keep me satisfied for the next few months. Usually (almost 95%) of the time, we watch fireworks.. Usually Wishes.. It really makes me sad watching that for the last time, walking out of the Magic Kingdom, smelling all the smells on Main Street USA...

That's the worst ever

But- I make it through because I want to get back home (God- did I say I WANT to get home from WDW- I'm out of my mind) I *LIKE* to get back home to see my boyfriend, friends, family, my dog, cat, rabbit... That's my motivation for coming back. Also, I know it won't be too long until I'm back in the happiest place on earth again :D

I hate to hear the monrail voce say "If this concludes your visit to the Walt Disey world resort we hope you've enjoyes your stay...." you kinda ignore it for the first few days but when it is your last day it sucks!! What is your indicator to let you know its time to go home??

That is a very good spot where the trip seems to end. I think that it really hits when I am traveling home.

By far it hits the hardest while waiting in the lobby of the resort (whichever you happen to be staying at - for us its Poly or WL) for the shuttle back to MCO (usually Mears) There is usually a large enough window of time for it to REALLY become painful - and no matter how long our stay is -- i always cry...

We usually do Sunday-Sunday. Thus, I get hit hard on a Thursday. My vacation is more than half-over, I start rushing to get everything done, then it's Sunday.

Whenever we leave Orlando, it's ALWAYS sunny. And when we get back to NY, it's ALWAYS gray and cloudy. :(

I start becoming very quiet and introverted the day before leaving.

It gets worse the moment I wake up on the day of the departure.

And the worst moment is when I drive through the gates reading "Come back real soon!"

I first start to realise that the Magic is coming to an end when the suitcases reappear.
That drive to Orlando Int Airport is really depressing, however, there's still time to escape and turn around - but we never do. Just keep on going, hearts sinking lower and faces getting longer - But wait - only two years before we return

Our last trip was kind of a long one. So, by the time it was over, I was ready to go home. In fact, when I left, I didn't expect to ever go back again.

Now I really wish I could book another trip - although I know it's going to be a long while before that happens.

For us it kind of builds over the last couple of days beginning with packing the night before we head home. Always find little things that remind us of something special that happened during the trip. The first big hit is when we drive away from the resort and head to the MK for our last day in the park. Then one last look at the castle before leaving the park. Hearing the monorail voice "If this conludes your stay..." really makes me sad. We always try and stop at the WDW shop at the airport for one last bit of magic but then it's on to the plane and we know the vacation is really over. ** sigh ** Feeling blue just thinking about it!

When I am packing up my pin lanyard, and all the other souvineers I have bought, ie...my glow neclace, ears, Cinderella crown, plastic Disney cup, stuffed toys...about 100 plastic Disney bags.

When I hear that on the monorail, its a bummer we rode our first day and I was like, I don't want to go home LOL.

Forget realizing the last couple days. When I go for a week, during the drive from the Orlando Airport to my resort, I know in a few short days I'll be traveling the other way to go fly back to Boston. The reality sets in right away.

our family has a ritual for the day we travel home. A final breakfast (usually at Carribean Beach), then the drive via quicksilver or rental car to the airport. flight home. find our car in the many parking lots of Midway Airport, then off to Portillo's for one last themed dinner. then home.

It really hits me when we are driving out of WDW, and the road signs turn back to the boring green. and a second wave of sadness hits me when I eat my last fry at Portillo's. and the third hits once we excape from the Chicago Suburbs and see corn instead of palm trees.

and the final wave hits me when we get home, and we realize that it is a whole year before we get to go back.

I would have to say all of the above!

I hate leaving the Adventurers Club on our last night and the private goodbye I say to it as it drops out of view..............

I also say a goodbye to each park

but the worst is when the plane touches down at London Gatwick and the weather is ALWAYS rubbish, I want to yell at the pilot " take me back!!!"

Then I get home and start working out how long it will take me to save up to go again, which is usually 2 years but I am hoping to get it down to 1 year soon!
