Neither. Lately I feel more like a wallet with legs.
No kidding! But my wallet always loses weight after a visit to WDW, while despite the miles of walking I always bring back a couple of extra pounds thanks to all the treats in the parks. :p

Well, I'd have to say 'guest', even though there was an exchange of money between hands at the gate. In comparison to Universal, I ALWAYS feel like a customer there. I've had CM's go out of their way to make simple things 'right' for us. We were there in February and wore 40th anniversary congratulatory pins we got at the city hall at MK. After walking around in the rain for a couple days, we stopped at one of the art shops and asked the CM at the registered if she had a Sharpie we could clean up the writing on our pins, as they had pretty much washed out. She asked for our pins, and not only completely cleaned and rewrote the '40 'e'ars', she applied a clear tape over the new writing so it wouldn't run again, and did it all with a smile! I felt like a guest, and still appreciate all the greeting we got from every CM who saw our pins, from the gate folks to the people cleaning the rest rooms. Always with a smile and sincere greeting, not just a 'the boss told me to do it' greeting, but a real 'congratulations!' Yep. Guest. :)

That's a great story.

The poll is closed. 57% of respondents acknowledge Disney does make them feel like a guest while 43% say they feel more like a customer. Thank you to the 123 people who cast votes in this poll. Your input is greatly appreciated!

And on the same day these results became final, Tom Staggs is out as heir-apparent to Bob Iger. Coincidence? I think not. The next CEO had better get those poll numbers closer to 70-75% on the "guest" side. Target and The Gap can have customers. People have high expectations of the Walt Disney Company generally and Walt Disney World specifically.
