I have a question.
My mom has Virtigo real bad infact last night when we went to the movies she got dizzy, gripped the wall and just fell to the ground. My question is Does Disney rent out wheel chairs? IT`s obvious that my mom will not be able to make the trek around The parks on her own.:(

They should be near the entrance of the parks - after you put in your ticket, to the left or right. Ask a Cast Member - or go to guest relations (near the entrance) if you don't see the station. :)

The only places I know are in EPCOT and MGM. If in Epcot, go off the your immediate left upon entrance to the park. If in MGM, they're right on your right. I know the other parks have them, I just forgot where you can rent them.

I believe the are right before you walk under the train station at the Magic Kingdom (if you're looking at the train station from the outside, they would be on your right)

But, Darrel, get there early for them because it's first come first serve and they go fast.

(Sorry to hear about your mom...I hope she's ok)

If you are going to need a wheelchair for your entire stay you can call the resort in advance, and they can most likely reserve you one. When you get to the resort you have to give them a $250 deposit for the wheelchair (deposit is totally refunded when you return the chair). You will be able to use the chair for the whole stay without worrying about getting them in the parks. I would just call the resort ahead of time.

Hey Tyler, unless prices dropped I thin k it's a bit more. Last time I went I had to give $11 for a wheelchair, got a buck back when we returned it. The electric scooter is abotu right though, $40. Way worth it more than the wheelchair.b

We rented one in October for $8 and got a buck back at the end of the day when we returned it. Actually, it was a Disney Dollar--I'll probably never spend it cuz it was the first one I've ever had and it's frameable. Another smart Disney marketing ploy!! Oh, and keep your receipt--the rental is transferable to other parks with the receipt, but the chair stays in the park where you rented it.

I rented one at SW once. I had twisted my ankle and shouldn´be walking that much (plus, I was slowing everyone down). It was fun! My bf and my roommate had a blast with the wheelchair and we took turns to sit in it and be pushed. I personally felt useless being in it and having to depend on someone to push me around! Then they decided to speed....  :animwink:

Another option is renting ECVs from a medical outlet near the parks. That's what we did back in June when we took my girlfriends parents to Disney for the first time. Both of them are disabled so they came in very handy. Only part that sucked was it rained every dang day we was there(those of you who work there can remember the rains at the end of June) I'm just glad we got the opprotunity to share the magic :)
