The same goes for the Silver pass (Disney Company Executive Theme Park Pass)
Just curious who gets these passes? under what circumstances?

The "happy" few... people who had done something really special..some big celebrities...

(Without starting any political babbering)
But isn't amazing that they didn't give them to all the firemen of New York, after their rescue job on 9/11...they were heroes...
IMO they only got discounts...
But that's another story

No, it's true... and I don't think you'll find anybody to disagree with you. Of course... it's amazing what people on this board can find to argue about.

Let me be the first to dissagree ::raising hand:::wave:

The NYC Firemen weren't the only heroes that day.

If you're gonna give free passes to heroes, you'ld better give them to ALL the heroes, not just the Firemen.

The Firemen, NYC Police, POE Police, Coast Guard and the Paramedics were ALL there helping out and that's not evening mentioning all the citizens who pitched in to help during that horrible disaster.

Millions of Dollars were also donated from all over the world to help with the cause also.

So I think EVERYONE should get free lifetime passes to Disney World!
 :sohappy:

Yeah, we all saw that coming, I know... but to put my interpretation of your original comment in here... I think the point may have been that somewhere some already overpriveleged person has one of those passes when there are more deserving people out there.

Your sarcasm will take you nowhere, and please only talk for yourself.

But if it satisfies you... You were right and I was wrong...

I aggree there were a WHOLE lot more heros at after 9/11 but just because I didn't mention them is no reason for you to getting sarcastic...

I had my brother killed in the first attack on 9/11 .... he worked in one of the offices on one of those floors...
And I at that moment Ihad so much respect for the first early firemen/rescuers who went in straight away while the building was still standing.

That's why I wrote, I don't want to turn this in a discussion,
I was just wondering why Disney didn't do something...

Anyway... let's get back to the original Topic, and be happy on this board...

Regards.

PS.. And if I misunderstood the whole clue of your message, my appologies..

To get a lifetime annual pas, I would do one of two things.

First, I would move to Orlando.

Then,

Choice A. I would become a cast member, and stay that way for my entire life.

Choice B. I would pay $400 a year.

You did. I have never intentionally been mean or sarcastic to somebody who was a nice poster on these boards. You totally misunderstood me. But I'll drop it. It's a moot point. Sorry I even said anything at all.

And I'm sorry about your brother. :(

Corrus...

MouseMadness has never picked out anyone to "be mean" towards, she has never even said anything "mean" in any way. She is on these boards to have fun...that's all...like most of us are. We come on, we check up on the news and rumors, joke around, meet new people, and make each other laugh.

I am also sorry to hear about your brother...a lot of good people were lost for no good reason.

I don't want to come across the wrong way. I respect all of the men and women who were involved in the attack. But let me tell you, I am a member of a police / federal law enforcement family. Additionally, I have family members in the armed forces who are involved with this war and the operations in Afghanistan.

However, my opinion is - give the passes to the fire fighters. Absolutely...

No one lost as many as the FDNY did. They were the absolute heroes of the day, and let's not take that away from them. I know there were countless people who made the ultimate sacrafice, and it would be nice if we could honor each and every one of them. But if we must pick out one group, I think the FDNY makes a fine choice. It still gives me the chills to watch the tapes (some of which the public doesn't see) of those men running up the stairs as everyone else is running down. It's downright eerie.

Godspeed to everyone who made a difference on that horrible day, they all deserve lifetime passes.

my uncle was one of the hostage negotiators during the incident at the boardwalk in 2000... he is now the bearer of that pass (and the person who I talk to when I wanna go to WDW now... albeit I'll be an AP soon)

Yes, I think a day with our little troll friend MaElStRoM rOcKs would seem a lot like you are constantly having baseballs thrown at you at full speed.
I can just picture it,
"Hey mean person! Lets goes to Its a small world and sing along the song!"
or
"No, i don't likes the haunted mansion, it's scary too much"
