Does the Marathon run past Japan? It would be nice to pick up a Kirin near the finish. A stop at the Sam Adams booth at F&W is always a treat.

Oh, Stella... Beer shouldn't be served in stemware.

I'll have a Sam Adams. 30+ varieties and I haven't found one I don't like. Personal favorites are Noble Pils and Cherry Wheat.

Otherwise it's Stoli screwdrivers.

Beer in stemware? You would be surprised at how many beers are meant to be served in stemware. Most beer geeks use the traditional shaker style "pint" as a last resort, only to avoid drinking straight from the bottle. Most tend to favor tulips, especially the ones from Duvel. Just like there are many different styles of stemware for the different styles of wine, there are many different types of glassware for beer as well.

Why yes, it most certainly does. The last few miles of the Marathon meander from DHS, past BW, BC&YC, in through the international gateway, and then right through the WS, France, Morocco, USA, etc. etc. So as long as you don't want a Molsen or a Bass you can stop and get whatever you want on the way to the finish. Just remember to get a lid or it will slosh all over you if you keep up a decent pace.

World Showcase pavillions don't open until 11:00 am. Believe me, I was planning on stopping for a Maragrita and some nachos in Mexico one year to take to the finish, but they weren't open yet. So, if you take your time, you can stop and get a drink somewhere. It's become tradition to eat a large amount of Mexican food for lunch following a race, usually accompanied by a Margarita and/or a Dos Equis.

Immediately after a race or long run, I always crave a Coke and potato chips or fries. The blend of salt and sweet, I guess.

Here are some of the best IPA's I've had...mind you I'm from PA but my beer game gets around.

Pliney the Elder (Rusian River), Nugget Nectar (Troegs), Double IPA (Stoudt's), Hop Wallop (Victory), Two Hearted Ale (Bell's), Ragging B***h (Flying Dog), Hop Rod Rye (Bear Republic), Centenial IPA (Founders), Burning River Pale Ale (Great Lakes), any wild ale from Russian River.

Also two all-time favorites: Hop Devil (Victory) 60 Minute IPA (Dogfish Head)

These are all pretty mainstream, if you find them, buy them you wont be dissapointed. Any beer from these breweries are awesome. Let me know if you want to move the conversation away from pale ales. :animwink: I never get tired of beer.

Actualy, it makes a left just before the IG gates, heads down UK Access road, and comes into the WS right by the convention center - so you do run past Canada and the UK.

Hmm. Maybe we do sneak in that way. I could have sworn we ran in the IG. I do vaguely remember making a right hand turn out of the UK backstage, but didn't think it was for the Marathon.
