I just thought of another one... My 2 year old DS has severe multiple food allergies and it's not easy to get him a variety of foods to eat, especially when we eat out. Well we were told that's not true in WDW and they were right. OMG the food he was able to eat. Seeing his face at each meal and he was personally presented, by the head chefs themselves, beautiful meals that were safe for him to eat... that was the magic of Disney!

Here he was (just turned 2 years old) having an ice cream treat along with the rest of us for the first time ever! He was too excited to use a spoon! LOL

Being the only guests in the park in front of the Castle to see The Kiss Goodnight is pretty special. Here's a shot I got of it this year:

My most magical moment at WDW (and pretty much my life) came when I was on one knee at the wishing well next to Cinderella's castle, and she said "yes".

wow, i just want to cry when reading these stories.

my first: we were at animal kingdom and it was my son's birthday (on that day), i had every minute planned out. we were going commando. well my son has decided he wanted to visit asia, now on my list asia wasn't even on it. i had no idea how to reschedule my list. i caved in since it was my son's birthday and off we go to asia. we walked right into one of the trails there and a cm was holding us back. i was getting a little upset about being held back because of time. once the first cm let us enter, anothe cm held us back. now i was getting annoyed. once the group had built up enough people the second cm asked the group "who here has ever heard of the year of the million dreams?" well i about passed out from that question. did not know what we won, but i did not care. i was just thrilled for the moment, and all my bad feelings were replaced by the magical feelings. we all won dream fastpasses. i learned from that experience that we were in the happiest place on earth and to always just go with the flow. not only did we win dream fastpasses, but i made my son's day even more special by allowing him to make the decisions as to where we would go.

another moment came when we were waiting at rope drop for toontown to open. Mickey came out and was going to pick a family to give a personal tour of his house. Mickey picked my grandaughter! it was just the 2 of us on this trip. what a thrill that was to be hand picked by the Mouse himself.

another moment that was special (not that they all aren't, but the reasoning behind them is more memorable) is when walking into the mexico ride, i greeted the cm with a "hello, how are you doing today?" said with a huge smile. he looked up at me with a shocked look on his face and asked me what my name was. i told him and he wrote it on a magical moment certificate and took us right to the head of the line for our own vip boat ride.

there are so many more, but those are the top 3.

and my hubby still has to ask "why" i want to go to disney.

magic carpet ride

Last September myself and dd3 went to the world just the two of us for the week. We had a great week with only a few magical meltdowns. Took it slow and let her spend as much time as she wanted looking and seeing. On our last day there, I decided before we had to catch our bus back to MCO we should go to Magic Kingdom one more time as I knew it would be a long long time before I could afford to take her back. It was a Saturday morning and I thought the park would be crowded but it wasnt. We hadnt made it over to Adventure Land yet that week so we went there first. DD3 wanted to ride the carpets and there was no guest in sight. We walked right on and I sat in the front seat so I could turn and take pics of her in back. As I was focusing the camera I heard someone say "is this seat taken?" and I said "no" and looked back to see Aladdin taking a seat next to DD!!! He rode the carpet with her with me taking pics and she was struck speechless! He did ask her a few questions and called her princess of course  she was in luuuuuv. When the ride was over he took her by the hand to the front of the line to meet Jasmine and Genie. She still talks about that to this day :D

If I say magical moments that Disney has created, its the resort upgrades. We received a Deluxe at AK in 2002 and concierge at the Beach Club on our last trip 9/16/08

I've had so many magical moments at WDW over the course of my lifetime. Having been at WDW with my grandparents, particularly my Grampa now that he's gone, means so much. When I was a kid so many of the few truly happy times I had were at WDW with my dad or with my mom. Being there with my kids is amazing every time we take them. The trip the hubby and I made alone in May was packed with sweet little moments. But by far the most magical moment I've ever had was the year we took my in-laws to WDW with us. I've told the story before but it's the best I've got. Here goes.

Mom & Dad had been to DL years and years prior. For Christmas 2005 we had some extra money and decided to give my hubby's parents a trip as their gift from us. We paid their hotel and tickets. They had to only pay their transportation to Orlando and food. When we gave them the box with their "certificate" and letter explaining everything it was awesome. We had also put in Disney shirts to match ours and a copy of the Birnbaum's Guide. It was the Happiest Celebration on Earth year, 2006. We must have walked into the MK a bit after opening that 1st full day because Main Street was crowded. When we were making our way up Main Street we were all holding onto the kids and trying to pay close attention to each other trying to keep everyone together as we made our way. When we broke out of the crowd between where the Main Street shops end and where the hub is I guess Mom finally had a chance to look up at the castle. It was such a beautiful sunny morning and the castle was so pretty with all the gold accents. Everyone seemed to stop so I turned to see what was wrong. Mom was standing there with her head laid against Dad's chest as they were both hugging and gazing up at the castle. Mom had tears rolling down her cheeks. My hubby and I both immediately started to tear up ourselves. It was just such a sweet, sweet moment. When we talk about that day now Mom just says she couldn't help herself, the castle was so much more beautiful than any picture she had ever seen and being there with us and because of us meant everything. It's proof-positive that you're never too old for the magic to catch ya off guard.

Growing up in Florida I have spent many days and nights at WDW and I can not give you guys any one examples of things that hapen to mw in the past. Tru I got to ride in the pilots cabin on the monorail and have the servers go out of their way while I was eating but I can only look to our trip in December. My last trip was in 1993 because I moved to Atlanta. For this trip I get to take my DW (who has never been) and my 2 DD (6 and 3). Having my family walking down mainstreet looking at the castle for the first time will be my magical moment.

P.S. sorry about the typos I was typing this on my phone while I was at work. :)

I was fine until I read this post. Now I am blubbering away. :animwink:

I have tons of wonderful memories that I can't have simply one favorite memory. But I'll list one of my favorite memories. Arriving at MK on our first official day in the parks in Dec '08. DH and I had been longing to back to back to WDW since our last vacation (Nov '03 our Disneymoon). It had been four years since our last visit and will more likely be three more years until we go back to WDW. I had been planning our vacation for so long, and as a child I've longed to visit WDW (even though I'd been to DLR numerous times a child), but every child dreams of being in WDW during Christmas season. Walking through MS:USA, hearing the beautiful Christmas music, covered in Christmas decorations, and seeing Cinderella's Castle again...was truly magical to me.

We've been to Disney World nearly every year since 1984. In 1990 when my kids were (DD 7 and DS 4) we were waiting for MGM as it was known then to open and a CM come through the line and picked our two kids to come into the park, turn and at opening yell out, "COME ON IN" and then Mickey and Minnie hand in hand with them, escorted them leading everyone down the street. My husband videoing it and me snapping pictures. Not really a magical moment like the kind they give out today, but to us, very special just the same.

We went twice during Year of a Million Dreams (8 days each time) and never even saw the Dream Team in any park. Just being there was magical enough for us.
