Hands down the top favorite goes to the Tower of Terror. I could ride that all day and never get bored. and I love the themeing of the place!

Some of my other favorites are Toy Story Mania, RnRC, HM, POTC, Splash (finally will be able to go on it after 4 years since we went in Jan and its always being refurbed and too cold out), EE, Space Mountain, and Mickey's Philarmagic are the rest of my favorites but I love all the rides really in WDW oh and I can't forget the TTA!

Pirates!

My vote is for Pirates. No other attraction (imo) creates mood, story, and atmosphere the way POTC does. The ride doesn't need any white-knuckle thrills or extensive special effects to make it a hit. It contains some of, if not the most, "human" AA figures ever created by WDI to bring the story to life. For me, it creates a sense of escape better than any other attraction on property. Once you step into the building, all other realities seem non-existent, and you are truely part of the story rather than in just another ride queue. Not to mention the ride sparked the most successful Disney film franchise in the studio's history.

Really tough one...I had it down to Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and Tower of Terror simply because they are the most in depth rides in terms of themes. When you enter any of these three, you are completely immersed in the story and the world of it around you. I think ultimately I have to go with the Haunted Mansion due to the amazing history and design behind it. You're completely drawn in the second you see the gates and hear the howling dog.

Agree I think those three along with pirates are definitely the top 4 rides in terms of depth and theme. My personal favorite is space though. I just have too many memories of space. It is the one ride I ride every single time I'm at the Magic Kingdom. I'm so glad they didn't take away the star port walkway music or whatever it's called during the 2009 refurb.

I thought the OP said "favorite attraction" as in singular, one only. If that is true, then "Soarin" is mine. Others mentioned above are in the running, just not my one favorite amongst many I enjoy.

Very hard to choose...I really love Mickey's Philharmagic, because it captures in a scant 11 minutes or so a lot of the heart and enchantment that is classic Disney. After I exit that show I practically walk on air, it gets me in such a Disney high. :) If only the rest of Fantasyland had that same ambience...but hopefully, after the expansion, it will. I've always been distressed that Fantasyland is so small. It's so great that Dumbo and Snow White will be better represented after the expansion, and that newer classics like Beauty and the Beast will finally find a home in the park. (Yes, the BatB live show is there, but it's pretty sub-par in my opinion).

Second runner-up is the Haunted Mansion. Its genteel Victorian creepiness never gets old.

Third-runner up is the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Even though it's based on a non-Disney creation, it's entirely Disney in its execution. In fact, it could simply be called The Tower of Terror, with someone other than Rod Serling doing the narration, and it'd still be amazing. I wonder sometimes if WDW will ever get another ride of its quality. I'd hoped that EE would rise to that level, but oh well...

I've been contemplating, but I've come to the conclusion that Tower of Terror is my favorite. Theme + thrills = awesome. Plus, you never know exactly how the ride is going to go.
