I have noticed that the IPhone has apps for WDWMagic and other WDW sites but there are very few apps for the Android platform. Does anyone have any ideas or maybe can suggest some WDW apps for Android. I already have the Lines App.

Thanks
Erik

The problem is generally that independent websites without huge resources can't produce apps for all these different platforms. It takes a lot of time and expertise. We decided to go with the most popular, and that was the iPhone.

You can run our mobile website on Android, http://mobile.wdwmagic.com

Thank you for your response. I do run this website in both its mobile platform and full web platform on my Sprint HTC EVO. It works great as I would expect.

Thanks again

I have the Lite version of "Ride Hopper" on my Droid Incredible. Not solely a Disney app, as they include wait times for rides in theme parks across the country, submitted by people who are there.

Touringplans.com has an app as well called "WDW Lines." It costs 11 bucks for a year of information, so I've yet to really use it - when I get close to a vacation, perhaps I'll splurge.

I like my Droid Incredible. It's like an iphone...but it also works AS A PHONE!

BOOYAH!

There was no doubt that there was a bunch of hype around the issue but there was an actual issue. I tried out a friends iphone 4 on launch day and it dropped the call ever time I held it in my left hand. Apparently I held it wrong.:D

Sorry but it is time for Apple to realize that there are others now playing in their backyard and most have better games.

GO ANDROID... as to not change this thread, i also have the Lines App and have had it for blackberry and found it to be pretty accurate. Great APP. Hopefully we will start to see more Android apps soon.

I guess I am not woried about anyone finding me or calling me. Everyone knows where we are and try not to call unless they really need to. I make my phone calls to people during the down time, just to touch base with the kids grandparents and such. Work rarely bothers me, but as u see in my avatar picture i was on the phone with the State Attorneys office in reference someone I arrested. No big deal because i get paid a minimum of 1 hour of time for phone calls while off duty so i was actually making money while on vacation!:king:

Nice to see others embracing Android. Open-source all the way! :sohappy:
I browse this website using the Dolphin HD Browser and have had no problems. Dolphin also has add-ons that might help your browsing experience.

Every time an Apple user sees my phone and they see my live Aquarium wallpaper with my tropical fish, sharks, and turtle, they do comment how neat it is to have that compared to Apple's big-button homescreen.

I've found some nifty Disneyland map apps on the Android market but nothing for WDW. Other than Lines and Ride Hopper.

I agree the Android Market is now going to take a large share of the IPhone users. Not having to jail break your phone just to get more apps etc... is a great thing.
