What's Up With Splash Mountain?

I was just on it two days ago and was more annoyed by the ridiculous amount of trash that guests had thrown in various places. Is it really that hard to wait until you get off to throw out your tissues and water bottles?

I agree with you. This really is annoying. I can't believe the lack of respect and overall manners that people lack. Our last trip there was a water bottle on the steamship for about 3 days straight.

As far as the rest of the thread goes these seem to be common issues with this attraction. Still one of my favs though. Cant wait to ride it in June!

The cascading of the logs is caused by the dispatchers not dispatching their logs fast enough, which is usually caused by disabled guests boarding. Sometimes it's just because the dispatchers aren't very good. As for your complaints about seeing everything at drop 3, there's a bright light from the laughing place hitting the water shields on each side of the bottom of the drop and illuminating them. I never noticed it until I started working there and assumed it was because I now knew what the drop looked like, but maybe it really has gotten more noticeable that the room is completely bare. The maintenance issues stem from poor management and an even poorer maintenance team. Every time I did ride-through I'd mention the problems, but after months of the same stuff not working, I just gave up hope. One night the hopping Brer Rabbit's head was completely backwards, and it still took awhile before management finally decided to shut down the ride. They honestly don't care and it's sad.

They need DLR's Space Mountain sliding track- but in water!
