The best rides I've ever been on are Splash, Space, Dinosaur, and Dr. Doom's FearFall at IOA. Yeah, yeah I know...I gotta lot.
The worst ride I've been on? Ugh...I have a pretty strong stomach, and it's funny because whenever I got to themeparks or carnivals with my friends, I'm the only brave one. Almost all of my friends get motion sickness VERY easily. In cars, everything. Anyways, I wanted to go on this whirl-a-hurl type thing, and I persuaded my friends to go on with me. We get on and we're like "this is nothing, piece of cake." We were SO wrong. This thing whipped you around so much. Picture yourself going as fast as possible on the mad teacups with your head up. Now multiply that by 10. Oh my gosh, it was awful. It wouldn't be so bad if my head wasn't all over the place. They were spinning you around so fast and it was just bad. I had to vomit after that one, and my neck and head hurt all night. And I'm not one to vomit easily.
My best ride experience was mentioned above. The mad teacups, few years ago. My uncle, big guy...6 something feet tall, muscular. My dad, another big guy, but not as big as my uncle. Me, this tall, lanky little 12 year old girl. We're all in line for the teacups together. My uncle goes "Rick (dad), look for the fastest teacup." So they're watching these teacups and looking around and my uncle sees this peach one. He says "Now that is one bada** teacup." As soon as the lady opens the gates, he goes running towards it, looking like a maniac. We get in the teacup and he tells me to just look at the wheel and I would be fine. I didn't understand. The ride starts and these two big guys start spinning that wheel as fast as they can together. It was crazy. I think mom got it on tape and WOW was this thing going! And of course, since I didn't follow uncle's advice, my head was all over the place. It was quite a sight to see. That has become our tradition. My uncle, my dad and I on those teacups...it's awesome (peach teacups rock!).
Oh, I love El Rio Del Tiempo. That thing rocks! Heh.
The worst ride without a doubt is the new Figment ride...what a crock. It's amazing to me that a group of people sat down and actually said, "Yes, this new version is needed, and will be way better than the old one." Unbelievable.
Couldn't agree more!
