Is it 5:00 yet?

I was just curious to see how far anyone would drive to WDW? It takes me 8 hours to get there from southern Mississippi which isn't too bad. I'm glad I don't live much further away because I'm scared to fly.:)

That's Nuthin' !!!!!

We drove 20 1/2 hours straight through from Kansas City, MO the week after Thanksgiving, with 2 kids(6 and 7 years old), in a rental car, and a cigarette lighter that didn't work so they couldn't watch movies. But they were actually excellent travellers for a first major trip.

We drive about 11 hours for our trips to WDW and I start hitting the wall around hour 9. There is only so much time I can take in the car and we get started at 3 a.m. so, it is very tiring. Once we make it onto the Florida Turnpike though, I perk up and by the time we pull onto WDW property I'm ready to hit the road running!!!

In the 80's we lived in Bristol and Knoxville, TN. & have driven from both towns. Live in Ohio know & it's about 1,000 miles. We fly. Thank goodness for fare wars.

Not far

From the resort to the gates. I have an impatient hubby and 6 yr old. Need to start my vacation ASAP and get the most out of our time.

we travel roughly 758 miles to get to disney, all the way from Richmond, VA. it takes us anywhere from 11-15 hours, depending on traffic. Hurt knees and sore butts when we get to disney but its worth the drive. (only hard thing is leaving my Boo-Boo at home  Birds like disney too!)

Ive driven 13 hours (Non-Stop) before from The DC Suburbs all the way to Orlando.

Now if it takes me more than 10 minutes, I get annoyed.

my family always flies, but the family we always go with drive...from NEW YORK! not sure exaclty how long it takes, but its close to 2 days with the breaks to keep the 3 kids (two teenage girls less than 2 years apart) from ripping their hair out....all because their dad's afraid of flying....just makes me happy to be on a plane

I'm about 2100 KM (1300 Miles) away and we drive. Usually takes us about 20 hours with stops and we do it straight through on the way down but stop for the night on the way back. I really enjoy the drive, find it relaxing. It's also great to see parts of the southern US.

We have driven from NJ a bunch of times. Take a little over a day, but I am sure that is nothing compared to what some people have driven.

15 Hours Straight from Indianapolis, Indiana. We've done it every time we've gone to WDW - as a family when i was a kid (6 times) and the last 3 years in a row with my brother and friends. We leave at about 2 or 3am, and get there in the afternoon. It's great! I'm too cheap and nervous to fly (well, except for my upcoming Vegas trip - WAY too far to drive!)

My parents are actually on their way down to my house from Upstate, NY right now and from my house in NC we'll be driving to Orlando. So they will have driven 25 hours altogether by the time we get there.

As a child we drove all the way from Upstate, NY 1-2 times every year. Was a 2-3 day drive each way! I'm so glad to be living in NC now, it only takes 10 hours which is NOTHIN!

I have seen Alaska tags before in the MK parking lot.

WOWSERS! Now that's dedicated. I love the place and all, but I think I'd have to take a week to get there and back from Alaska, in a car....but I'm pretty sure I'd fly at that point.
