What's the Funniest Thing You've Ever Seen?

I may have told this before, but I was working the popcorn wagon in front of Cinderella's Castle on a busy summer day - one of the days when the line never goes away and you're busting it all shift long to try and keep the wait time to a minimum. The wagon backs up to the water running around the castle, and there are beautiful swans that inhabit the area, right? The swans loved the unpopped kernals, and sometimes when things were slow, a few kernals might get thrown their way from time to time. SO on this particular day, there was no time for swans, and one feisty one stuck his loooong neck through the little fence and attacked me! He got quite a bite on the calf, and I had to keep the Disney spirit for the park guests, but inside I was wanting to wring his neck because that bite hurt like heck! The guests got a kick out of it, and the swan got his popcorn -

mental note to self: stay away from swans in Mk... they are vicious

On the long bridge that goes from the Main path between Future World & World Showcase over the the Odyssey Complex. I saw a man job off of it to retrive a $100 bill that was floating by. After Security got him out and rushed him off we found out it was a fake $100 bill.

ive been over that bridge many, many times, and i still dont know....what is/was the odyssey used for?

the funniest thing that happened to me, while disney related, didnt happen at the parks, but while i was working a showing of disney on ice.

i was standing down by the ice during intermission, when a woman and her daughter came down and stood next to me to look closer at the ice. after about 30 seconds, the woman asked me " is this the arena's ice or does disney bring their own with the?" i expalined to her, while tring to keep a straight face, that disney doesnt travel with their own ice. as soon as she walked away i burst out laughing and almost fell onto the ice mayself.

I saw a mom dragging her daughter onto ToT with a fastpass saying "Oh don't worry honey, it won't be scary, it will be a simulator, just like that Star Wars ride."

I saw them comming out with the little girl going "YYYYAAAYYYYYY! Let's go on it again!" and the mother looked like she would pass out.

That is a bit like me and my mom. I'll be terrified and my mom would be like "honey, its ok" and we get off and I'm like "lets ride it again!" and my mom will not want to.lol

I've seen a thounsand "funny things" at wdw. Oddly enough, they all involve old people on motorized carts.

I also witnessed a pretty funny incident involving a person on an "ECV". I encountered three individuals on ECVs, who appeared to be part of the same group, on Dinosaur. Rather than getting out of their vehicles, they tried to drive through the queue. While they had no difficulty navigating the straightaways, the hairpin turns were very interesting. It took about 30 to 40 maneuvers for these indivuals to pull off the K-turns. The scene was reminiscent of the Austin Powers movie (where he tried to turn the golf cart around in a narrow tunnell). The fact that there were three of them made it even funnier... as they kept getting in eachother's way.

The irony is that these individuals could not get up out of their ECVs to stand in queue for approximately 7 minutes; however, they apparently were well enough to ride Dinosaur (which is a pretty rough ride)!

Back in the late 80's early 90's when I was a kid first going to Disney it was an eating area, counter service type place that was really nice. Every half hour or so there was a show with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy in futuristic outfits that was musical and jazzy, then they would hang around for a little while to meet guests.

Dont know exactly why they closed it down, they had the best food in Epcot at the time and the entertainment was really cute too!! I remember loving it!! If I ever get a scanner or whatever I would post pics of the show, it was really neat!!

After coming out of the RNRC pre-show, my mom wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and started to lean against the wall......problem was she was leaning on another guest she never knew was around her. The guy was really cool about it. Plus he was working on a good buzz. Everyone got a good laugh, and I got neverending "remember when you.." material.

Okay - this is our favorite but I'll tell two:

First up - Last May we were standing in Epcot over by the lagoon when we noticed this soft shell turtle making her way up the embankment... kind of wierd as they can get dried out sort of quickly so my DH and I stopped to watch for a moment - now, you know in WDW when someone stops to stare - so does the next group and the next.... and on and on... within about 2 minutes there were about 15 people just staring at this turtle... and up walks these two elderly ladies and the words that came out of their mouths were this: "It's amazing what Disney animatronics can do these days - you'd almost think it was real" and then they walked away... they honestly had no clue...

Okay - second story - (for all those who are super sensitive to "large" people - please do not read on) My Dh and I have no patience for lazy people - and it drives us nuts that super "large" people always get those "EVC" units... when truly - though they would get tired quickly, they need the exercise... now let me clarify - there are those with health conditions- I understand - but it's the people who get mean and rude when people don't clear a path for them, that I know for a fact - need the exercise... anyway - There was this lady at Animal Kingdom - who obviously just needed some exercise - she was hollerin and yellin "MOVE!!!" and in the usual all american fashion - no body was listening - she was just going to have to wait in the long lines of the masses just like everybody else... So she pulls up behind this lady in with a stroller who had obviously been having a very long day herself... (with two screaming toddlers in tow - one can only imagine) Along comes the "MOVE!!!" and this lady with the stroller turns around and yells "Hey mister, You are just going to have to wait your lard a$$ just like the rest of us, be grateful they let you have a stroller of your own - while the rest of us walk like the adults that we are" Now, this wasn't a mister - it was a lady - and to see the many shades of purple that she turned... needless to say she stopped yelling at everyone - at least for a few minutes.

Just this past week, my girlfriend and I had just had dinner with my parents at Planet Hollywood and we were heading out into Downtown Disney, going in between PH and the big AMC. My girlfriend (having never been to Disney til then) stopped at the fountain to throw a penny in, and that's when we saw him - a scraggly guy wearing tattered pants and an old army coat, wading completely into the fountain and fishing out handfuls of coins at a time.-

Makes mental note of that for future use :D

Oh my god! Was this just a week or so ago because I saw that 2!!!!!!!!!!!! It was absolutely hilarious. People need a license to drive those ECV's!

my brother did the same thing, he's only 3, but he knew to pick up money. This happened at the AK. Come to find out it was a fake 1,000,000 dollar bill. Hey, it looked real :hammer:
There must've been a ton of them floating around. Somebody was probably sitting around laughing at the fools who picked them up.. Ha ha

One of the first times I went to the magic kingdom, I noticed a door off to
the left, just as we came into the park, it kept swinging out then slamming shut and swinging out then slamming shut. My wife and I went over for a closer look and it turned out to be "Little John" trying to get out. He would
push the door, try to bend down to come out and it would slam back on him.
Obviously his escort was somewhere else, but we held the door and he seemed pretty happy to be "free".

Used to be a fast-food place. Even in the day, it was dismal. Worst food in Epcot, by far.

One night, I was in the queue behind some very obnoxious teens. Their leader was a dyed-blonde girl who was unbelieveably loud, and acting stupid. Imagine being in that last tunnel going down to the loading platform with a person screaming at the top of her lungs the whole way down. By the time we reached the logs, people hated this girl.:fork:

Anyway, comming back into the loading platform after the ride I was in position to see her get off. She had gotten very wet, and some how, the back flap of her short skirt had stuck to the back of her shirt exposing her undies to the world. Off she went, utterly oblivious to the jeers and laughter from the CM's and other people in the loading bay.

Okay I thought of a few more...

One of our first trips to Disney and we were staying at the Polynesian, we were on the second floor of Rapa Nui, and we would throw food down to the ducks (I know we're not supposed to but hell everyone does) and my mom gets out her bag of Combos - those little pretzels with cheese filling. So she throws one down and a duck gets it up to eat it and starts choking on it!! He eventually was okay and ate it but we always tease my mom that she's the "Combo Killer" and any time we're at the Poly, we say that the ducks stay away!

Our first trip to Disney we were in MK right near the castle and again I see some ducks (there's something with our family and the ducks...) anyhow I yell out "DUCKS" and with that my grandpa ducked his head down like something was going to hit him  He wasn't too happy and we kept yelling "DUCKS" to him the rest of the vacation :D

To keep with the whole duck theme, last vacation my mom and grandma kept getting pooped on by flying birds, again I said it must be the ducks getting their revenge on us

The funniest thing I have ever seen on Disney property was at the Marketplace in Downtown Disney. There was a large family (had to be at least 15 people) and they wanted to take a picture by the fountain entrance. They knew not to get by the fountain so they lined by the bushes. And they asked my dad to take their picture so everyone could get in the picture.
This was around November and it was cold and it was late (had to be between 9 or 10). Just before my dad snaps the picture the sprinklers in the bushes come on. The family takes off running. The only problem is they left their grandma in a wheelchair behind. So there is this poor old women who couldn't move because they had set the brake on her wheelchair and she didn't seem able to stand up and walk away. So she just sat there getting soaked and cursing out her family while the family argued over who would go get her.

We still talk about everytime we go to downtown disney. It was just too funny.
