What's the D23 Epcot Announcement that will affect call centers?

I know there has been NOTHING official at all for the name change but checking out Snapchats map feature gave me a laugh. It'd be something if they were right.

I don't think it's a new attraction or festival - they wouldn't need call center reps for those things.

Whatever it is, it's going to be within the next 12 months, at Epcot, and be instantly popular with a large number of people.

Imma go out on a limb here - and let me say that I have absolutely no idea what the announcement is - and say it's Barack Obama as a Candlelight Processional narrator.

Reiterating: I have no idea what the announcement is. I just think Disney is considering having something on the other side of the aisle, as it were, for when HOP reopens. And that'll be around this time. Again, total guesses, no information at all.

ETA: It just took me 31 minutes to make ADRs on MDE for the all the open CP dates. That's why they're going to need call center staff.

Could it be possibly that the announcement that they will be closing one or more of the call centers and turning all reservations to online bookings?

Won't happen anytime soon, their IT is nowhere near good enough.

Possible. We know one is coming to American Adventure. But why would Epcot' call center need to tell hundreds of staff? There can't be more than a few thousand people interested, and they're not going to call at once.

Would they potentially test something like DLR''s incoming "MaxPass" at epcot? We know they're all about bringing in more money...it's a way to monetize FP without staying onsite...it would also likely result in a lot of calls.
