When I watch Wishes from the resort I stay at I see a big green glow somewhere in the middle of the show that almost looks like a lighting effect and it is very bright but when I am watching in the park I don't see the big green glow nor can I figure out what its coming from. Has anyone else seen it or know what it is?

Are you possibly talking about the quick-but-very-bright pyros that go off during the villains part of the show? They're shot off from the Fantasyland roofs, make a very bright greenish flash, and then they're gone, with just their smoke hanging in midair.

The ones I'm talking about are at 7:35 in this video:

I knew it was pyrotechnics but wouldn't all the other ones glow like that to, maybe brighter? I am going to try to post a video by Wednesday night. Its even brighter then the finale and it lights up the sky.

Those flashes are very bright. They overload the balance on many cameras trying to video the show, including mine.

I guess one way would be to look for the first comet shell, and then use a stopwatch to time how long after that comet those green lights are. Then compare that to a video from inside the park.

The green shells look cooler outside of the park.

Residual radiation from the castle missiles.

Its good to know that Magic Kingdom has a terrorist attack defense system :).

No. I`m sure Boo will correct me, but it seems to be some sort of magnesium effect. Given the right weather the sudden bright flash can almost be like lightning if it hits smoke or the cloud base correctly.
