OK so when I first joined here a few years back, a member named Thrawn seemed all over these boards. I looked him up and it says he was banned. Anyone know the story behind that?:wave:

Only the controversy which surrounded his opinions
He is persona non grata, as are all banned members, and we would prefer that there be no discussion about the circumstances surrounding the ban, as we would then have thread after thread of arguments about why we agree/disagree with someone's banning.
Even the moderators do not always agree with each other's decisions, but we keep our opinions private.
If anyone would like to PM you with his/her take on the banning, he/she is free to do so.

Thrawn's Noghri bodyguard Rukh killed the Grand Admiral with an assassin's blade. This was shortly after Leia Organa Solo reveled to the Noghri that it was the Empire that was polluting their world not saving it. About 10 years after his death Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade discovered an incubating clone of Thrawn on Nirauan. The clone was killed before it ever drew breath, and the attempt to resurrect Thrawn's legacy was quashed.

I was certainly not trying to create controversy. Just asking as he did help me out a few times. I have my answer and I appreciate someone posting the thread from Steve.
