What would YOU like to see at Disney Hollywood Studios next?

Everyone certainly has a wish list for what they would like to see added to each park, but the recent name change sparked the idea to ask specifically about the studios. For myself personally, calling it Hollywood studios would suggest it should be themed to the hollywood experience which in my opinion it falls a little flat on. I would like to see more attractions which gives a behind the scenes look at the hollywood experience, simular to what Sounds Dangerous attempts. Universal Hollywood is a good example of what I mean if anyone is familiar. I wish Disney's tram ride was as good as universal, so I wouldn't mind seeing a substantial upgrade, but I would be just as happy if they just got rid of it for something completely new. Other wishes include

-Upgrade to star tours
-Indy ride at site of current stunt show
-New 3-d movie with classic horror monsters
-muppets ride
-some version of the crush coaster even if different theme (ratatouille?)
-i would have liked a cartoon spin ride using the midway mania system
-Nightmare before chrstmas dark ride

Just some ideas really, what would you all like to see?

Well....
1. REMOVE sounds dangerous...i'm sorry i dont mean to offend anyone but it takes up space where a great thing could be! it just bugs me that they still have that one open...
2. Perhaps an update to the GMR. Dont get me wrong i love this attraction, one of my favorites but it could use an update
3. Maybe have a Madam Tussaud's type of attraction with wax figures of actors and actresses across the decades...photo ops would be fantastic
4. Incorporate a "Who's Line is it Anyway" kind of show. If you do it right improv is usually very funny
5. A new thrill ride or two would be excellent

Alright, that's my two cents...i dont know much about what goes into planning things just putting my thoughts out there

ooo and a muppet RIDE to go with the movie, and maybe a NYC tour back there...lol i dunno...the possibilities are endless

I like the House of Mouse idea, and would also love to see a Superhero themed area with characters from The Incredibles and from Stan Lee. I think A Muppet Studios is waaaaay overdue, and would love to see some form of a Muppet Ride along with a restraunt as originally planned. Disney Channel and ABC should have more of a precense in the park. Maybe they should add something to do with Lost, like an Indy ride but with Lost instead. And it would be awesome if Disney would film shows for DC there. Then it would be nice to have a Backlot Tour like the one in France, with actual sets. And I think Indy should have a Mummy type ride. You know, a dark ride/roller coaster with awesome effects and really cool AA...

Disney should snatch the theme park rights to Elvis Presley as well, and build a recreation of the Vegas shows Elvis did throughout the Seventies using an AA Elvis and a live band. How cool could that be? Yeah, that's my dream...

That would be cool... I think there needs to be more Mickey attractions. Overall it just needs some love. I really hope I can get used to the new name soon :lookaroun Old habits die hard!

I like the House of Mouse. I always thought AFV should have been shot at MGM/Studios. They could do an ABC TV area. Maybe a Fraggle Rock attraction. How about a Mary Poppins attraction, d@mn kids nowadays need to learn some civility.

It would have also been nice to see them do the origional plans for Mickey's Hollywood..fits the name of the park and it would have been a great section..who knows what could happen...They can even add that HoM Restaurant to it..

I just think that the HoM concept would be great. The perfect setting for a Character Buffett with old Disney cartoons playing on a big screen in one end of the house. Disney could even use this place to showcase some not so common characters, thereby getting people to pay for the opportunity to see some characters they dont normally get to see.

3. Comprehensive rehab for Great Movie Ride
4. Star Tours update.
5. "Chicago" backdrop on the empty corner of Streets of America
6. Remove Backlot Tour shuttle route for expansion, but keep the Water Tank and existing walking tour building portions (they are still there behind the tank), and turn it into a brief walking tour. Change the water tank show to be pirates themed = instant success.
7. refurbishment and upgrades to Tower of Terror

The Jetix cartoons are absolutely awful. Even by the already extremely low quality Toon Disney cartoon show standards.

Would love to see a LOST ride!!!! lol or Grey's Anatomy....ok that wouldn't be good but LOST is a great idea :sohappy:

1. Muppet Land- Complete with an update Muppetvision 4D and Muppet movie ride.

2. Lucas Land - This may be in the process of happening already, but I would love for a new attraction based around Indiana Jones to be implemented. Keep the stunt show, but IJ has so much potential around it. Star Tours 2.0 would also be a very welcome addition, and lastly, as some other members suggested in another thread, it would be great to grab a drink at the bar from episode 4, and possibly from Marion's bar in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

3. House of Mouse restaurant. If Disney wants to do meet and greets with character dining, this is a perfect opportunity. Heck it could even replace Sci-Fi, all it would need is a slight re-theme, they already have the big screen. Now, I'm not saying they should replace Sci-Fi, because I do enjoy the restaurant despite it being overpriced, but it's an idea.

4. Get rid of the Backlot Tour and put in a series of C/D ticket level attractions. These don't need to be over the top, but something that can suck in numbers but are still entertaining and have a high re-ride ability level. Since it looks like Pixar land is coming, I would love to see a ride based around the Incredibles.

5. Voyage of the Little Mermaid needs to be replaced with something new. I haven't seen a worthwhile line for that show in a long time. A new comedy style show would be a nice addition here, we don't need everything to be based off of Disney movies.

I've had a few other ideas from time to time in the past, but it's late, and I've been drinking. So I'm drawing a blank on a few other ideas I've had. If I can remember them in the morning I'll get back to you. :lol:

dump NY and San Fran street.. in fact that whole area back by Stunt Show could redone .. why are there no real stores on NY street???? could become something along the lines of Main Street..I know they have Fantasmic..but how about a fireworks show at the end of the day... food needs to get better.. would love to see somemore of the media infliuence like disney channel .espn .abc.. more character spots.. I could go on for hours..

I agree with the muppet land (thats my #1) but do not change the movie. Nothing Disney has come up with for the muppets is even close to the quality of the current show. Do you really want to take a chance on the people who did muppet OZ? Not me.

I would also like to see a:
***transformers attraction (I know it wont happen but it would rock)
***nightmare before christmas dark ride
***1 more starwars attraction and a lot more theming.
