I know you are all gonna hate me for saying this, but maybe it should go altogether. I can appreciate that is historically an important attraction and one of the only ones still standing from Walt's day, but surely if that was the criteria for keeping attractions in the park, the parks would never be updated.
The top dogs at Disney look at facts and figures, and if the general public are voting with their feet and not visiting the attraction enough, the only cost effective thing to do is to close it and use the space for a more modern attraction.
I understand the sentimentality over the attraction, but put it in a museum and use the space for a brand new attraction.
