Bringing a friend that's never been to WDW and having them see the condition of the parks.
Nah who cares? Your friends have never been to Disney before. They won't even notice a disco yeti, or effects not working, etc. so why fix them when we can cost cut while simultaneously diminish show quality as well without the newbies noticing.

Sadly that seems like the philosophy at TDO the last few years. I truly hope for change. Quality was always Disney's highest priority. Now profits and $$ have usurped quality as the highest priorities. That is my worst nightmare becoming reality.

Oh yeah, I know. But if they were with me, they'd know what the problems would be. I'm a complainer at Disney when things aren't working. I'm probably really annoying but hey, that's the name of the game. :p

[edit] I'm sure even first timers would see the problems here (Especially at 9:17):

Oh and on another hilarious note, everyone in that log was Brazilian except me.

So you wouldn't babble on and on to your friend about how awesome everything used to be and point out that they would've been better off giving their money to the guy who was selling air to breathe?

As I thought more about the question, I guess I came close to my worst nightmare.

DD then 7 and I double back to POR for warm clothes for her (room middle of nowhere) she has a giant pixie stick. Tips it back into mouth, gets in lungs, I turn to see her waving hands turning blue. Long ago I had first aid/cpr training, long ago. Without hesitating I grab her and do the Heimlich (all while thinking next run to life guards at pool with her in arms) Heimlich worked and pixie dust powder shot out all over the room. Blue girls color came back and shortly we were back off to the parks, with a detour to QS for a pop for her and a single bottle of wine for me.

Yep, kid in life and death situation at Disney was my worst nightmare.

Falling out of the Kilimanjaro safari vehicle into the hippo pool:eek:.

I have that nightmare too, but mine is going over the croc pool at the safari.

Good job! Had you recently had training or did you wing the Heimlich as best you could? I'd have to wing it. Makes me think I should re-learn and practice a few things. I'd be shaking for a bit after that and I'm sure the memory would come back to me for the rest of my life. Scary.

Dole whip machine down!!! Haunted Mansion closing. Even more BTGs! Worst Nightmare is that my DS(4 months) turns out not to be a Disney nut.
