What would be your new E-Ticket?

definitely.. spiderman is great.. i cant think of the last time i went on those cars... although i remember when i was little it was a fav!
I think that it being a favorite of young children will keep it around for a long time. It was a favorite of mine as a child as well. And the queue is still always a long one. No short waits for it. I can't see Disney getting rid of a very popular attraction (even if it isn't popular for the "older" crowd anymore).

But Spiderman definitely rocks!

Honestly, I would love for Disney to a 3-D roving simulator like Spidey. That, for me, is the major reason to visit Universal at the moment.

If Disney could make a ride like that, but maybe with an additional interactive feature, it would blow Universal away.

Of course it would probably run about $300,000,000. :lookaroun

Despite my 007 post, for me it's the ride itself more than the property. E:E and Soarin' are not based on film properties, and other classics like Splash and TZTOT are based on very old properties. Song of the South isn't even available anymore, but that doesn't hurt the attraction in any way.

I love the 3-D idea like Spidey, and I like motion rides like Indy Jones at DL and TDS, Journey at TDS and Test Track. Something to replace Wonders of Life or the 20,000 area would be nice.

Stupid question time! What's E-ticket?

Not a stupid question at all:D

A E-ticket ride that is unusually a big (and or) thrilling (and or) expensive :p

Some good exemples could be Pirates, Space Mountain, Splash mountain, ToT, RRC...

This expression come from the actual ticket that you had to have to ride thoses rides before 1982. You had to buy a booklet including tickets (A,B,C,D & E) and use them to enter a ride.

So even if we don't need tickets anymore, people continue to refer the type A/B/C/D/E to qualify a ride.

A good exemple is the new Toy Story Midway Mania, witch some people refer as D+ and some E.

I had heard of the Indy ride in DL...is it similar to the Dinosaur ride in AK...if that is the case, how cool would that be to adapt another idea, like the Incredibles or Cars...I could just imagine what the imagineers might do with a blank check and those ideas to work with.

Wouldn't an Incredibles roller coaster seem to make alot of sense? Include an indoor ride to set up the final roller coaster stage and you have a money ride. Similar to what ToT does with the initial story line before the ride itself, have something that incorporates the Incredibles story line and then shoot you off into a kickin roller coaster. Just a thought

Dinosaur is similar to Indy at DL, in that they have very similar ride systems. But Indy is WAY better, and has thousands of slightly different rides that are randomly selected, so every ride is different.
And the day the Imagineers get a blank check is the day that I win the lottery. :brick:

By the time Disney catches up with Spidey, they will have to contend with the new Harry Potter attraction which is said to be more advanced and ambitious than Spidey. Disney has their work cut out for them.

so true...we haven't even begun to mention the Harry Potter world...didn't Universal win a bidding war for the rights? Maybe I am wrong, but I thought I heard that...I just thought that Disney could be more proactive and less reactive to the changing environment of the theme park industry. Disney does not have to change a thing, let me get that straight. I just thought that there is a whole group of people that are thrill riders that would be pining for something revolutionary. Look no further than EE, which although tame by IoA standards, still brings somthing to the table that Disney had never done before. Combine a roller coaster environment with a bit of a plot line. Now take it a step further and have a story line combined with a thrill ride and you could be talking about a destination e-ticket. Do you remember when Star Tours or Body Wars or Test Track first opened? Star Tours and Body Wars blew our minds when they first opened. Now look at them. Time to reboot and do something that puts Disney back at the top of the papers, instead of the Harry Potter taking all the thunder.

Magic Kingdom- New e-ticket for old 20k site and tomorrowland
Epcot- New e-ticket for World Showcase
New e-ticket for old Wonders of Life
Hollywood Studios- New e-ticket for Indy
Animal Kingdom- New e-ticket for Camp Minnie-Mickey area of the park.
Maybe Camp Minnie-Mickey needs to be reimagined, it
just doesn't fit into the theme of Animal Kingdom.
Also Festivel of the Lion King needs to move to Africa.

Couldn't they refurb WoL and turn it to a kick butt e-ticket? They already have the basic structure in place and could hit up somebody like Microsoft or Oracle to create a futuristic ride that would showcase either of their computer prowess. How cool would that be.

Agreed there too...Although everyone wants a Weather Pavilion(I do too) I would love to see WOL brought back to it's former glory. That and UoE are both current issues that fit perfectly in EPCOT.(referring to the UoE thread)

Totally agreed with the UoE thread also. The original was incredible and I think they dumbed it down by inserting the whole Ellen shtick. There has to be something that ties EPCOT to its original ways. Just bring back Horizons, which I am still wondering what happened there, and we can call it even.
