Actually the "To honor America" float really is my favorite because you don't see that kind of public display of patriotism anymore. It's something the country has been missing for a long while.
This country has an almost fetishistic obsession with patriotism.
That's because it's a 45 year old parade. Back in the 70s and 80s Disney had a patriotic finale for literally everything (and I have a sneaking suspicion that Jack Wagner is to thank for that).
