So, folks, which will it be?
I, myself, am going to go out on a limb and say that Carsland will never happen at WDW and we'll be seeing Star Wars Land before Avatarland.
EDIT: I'm looking for theme park attractions. Not Disney Springs. Thanks, NiarrNDisney. ;)

I was thinking more theme park/attraction specific, but a valid point.

Well in that case I would say the "Carsland" Pixar Place expansion since the Mouse has seen the success in California. Also Avatarland seems to be in limbo right now and any release date of the future films has little to no mention to my knowledge so I am thinking the Mouse would rather focus their attention in DHS, DTD and finishing Fantasyland .

Cars Land (Radiator Springs Racers especially) just seems too epically awesome and not meet & greet-y enough for TDO's taste. I don't see it happening. Too much jaw-dropping detail, too major of an E-ticket...stuff of that caliber will probably stay out West and in Tokyo's parks.

What does "gone vertical" mean? That they've started building the thing they announced they were going to build?
Exactly. Transformers is virtually finished, Springfield has the stores close to done with some skeletal structures up for the small ride, and Harry Potter is growing more impressive every day.

They're millions of dollars into Avatar.
I'm just worried it's going to become a money pit. Like the Spider-Man musical. Either way, I'm looking for actual growth started. So far the only thing you can see as change is the decimation of the, already weak, Camp Minnie-Mickey, and construction of the new Lion King theatre.

Well, if we take out the fact that Uni is already building the stuff they said they would, then it's *possible* that Disney will win for who builds first.

But it's also possible that Uni will start yet something else before Disney ever gets around to doing anything.

I am glad they aren't building Avatarland yet and hope they never do! But that's me...anti-Avatar, anti-wristband. :D

Maybe I should keep my thoughts to myself since I don't know whats involved in Avatarland. I do know that I tried to watch the movie, and as a Sci-Fi geek I didn't really care for it. It was 3D, looked good and James Cameron was involved? Well, whoop-ti-dooo. I am not sure it deserves the attention it gets. Star Wars on the other hand is a proven established franchise strtching over 35 years. I think it would be a much bigger draw over a longer period of time. Cars would be cool too... I am 39 and I dig Cars. :) Avatar... bblllleecchhh

You mean besides the Jurassic Park expansion, Seuss Landing expansion, and Water Park Universal has up it's sleeve?

Probably something at Studios, but I've been surprised before. My next thought was obviously Animal Kingdom but after seeing the new Adventurer's Outpost...It's obvious that the money has dried up for that park.

I voted for Avatar.
I think it has already moved some things around, just not things we can see physically...yet.

I would love a Star Wars area at DHS to happen. I think it should eventually.

CarsLand in FL...hmmm....i have mixed feelings about it in FL.

I would rather it stay in CA, as i am concerned that if it migrates we will end up with a smaller, value-engineered version. I think the Parks should keep some headliners to themselves, and CarsLand fits perfectly out at DL with the heavy car-culture already embraced in the California scene.

Yeah, it would be a nice addition, but another part of me is nay, it should remain a DL exclusive.

Uni will of course keep building like crazy....they have to. Gatta keep folks coming back for more.

The next big Pixar thing at WDW needs to either be Monstropolis (Monsters Inc. roller coaster and Harryhausen's Restaurant!) or Metroville/Nomanisan Island. (Incredibles thrill ride.....something similar to Spider-Man at Universal. Only better)

Because quite frankly, I'm sick of Cars, and I'm also sick of cloning rides from one park to another.

I'm confused why Star Wars land is even an option... There has been no evidence whatsoever that this is something really even in consideration. At least at this time. I voted Universal because Disney likes to move at the pace of rock on projects. They may apparently be "millions of dollars into Avatar" but the fact remains not a single thing has been started yet nor does it look to be soon
