What will be more popular?

You don't have to be so rude about it

It's more about realistic estimations. Look at the earnings by franchise. Just on box office alone (no merchandise or product tie ins) Toy Story did about half a billion to date. Star Wars 7.6 billion so far.

Not even in the same league.

Star Wars. I really think the age group Pixar appeals to stay over at MK more than making the trip to HS. Not saying adults will not enjoy it but I think it appeals more to kids and Star Wars has a wider age group.

I think TSL is definitely going to be more popular with a wider variety of guest. My mom probably won't spend any time in Galaxy's Edge, but she will probably spend time in Toy Story Land, even if, currently there won't be rides she'll ride (she doesn't do spinners and almost never does coasters.)

If we had learned that a new coaster is built....Wait times will be pretty long...7DMT Still has a very steady wait time past 90mins and it's been open for 3 years now...I'm sure when Slinky Dog opens will be seeing pretty long wait times even when Galaxy's Edge opens...

Perhaps my first line was a little overkill, but really, deep down, did you really have any thought that it could possibly be Toy Story Land?
Yes, only because I am a recent star wars fan. If I never became a fan I would've had zero interest in Galaxy's Edge. I'm assuming there are non star wars fans out there. Toy Story land is being made to look like it was built by Andy using all his toys. To a kid, fan or not, that is super appealing. I can see lots of kids being drawn to that area.
I still figured Galaxy's Edge would be more popular, but with Toy Story Mania being as busy as it is, I figured there's a chance the Land would be pretty busy as well.

It will be very busy, but it won't reach the levels of Star Wars Land.

Even if you are not a fan of something (Star Wars, Songs of The South, Pandora) a good ride based off of an IP does not require you to love the material it's based on. Star Wars should be the most immersive land in Orlando once it opens. Toy Story Land on that front...
I understand what you're saying, but the fact that you put them head to head in the first place is kind of unfair.

Wow in the fast food world of America judgement making some have already declared TSL a loser without even setting foot inside. Shut it down , stop construction , it's over!

The only real question is how does Disney expects to control the crowds for Star Wars land. For fans like myself, we've been waiting for something like this for a long time and once inside we probably won't want to leave. They should have made the land much, much larger.

What I don't get is this....They are clearly Molly's now since Toy Story 3, Toy Story shorts and 2 holiday specials..Andy has moved on...So I'm saying that Molly did this in her backyard...

If you're referring to me... I don't like fast food (except for Chick-Fil-A).
As for Toy Story Land, it's not going to be a loser, but it's going to be done on the cheap which absolutely sucks. The land looks looks like only a larger version of Toy Story Land in Paris which is a crappy land. It's okay if they plan to tear it down within 15 years, but they won't -- they consider it permanent.

Toy Story deserves a land that is awesome. It doesn't need a billion like Star Wars Land either. 500 million could easily give it a D-ticket lincoln logs ride, and a Woody's Roundup C-ticket. Maybe a Pizza Planet truck racing through the streets E-ticket. Dang Cars Land is what Pixar lands should be, this in a way ruins the Pixar brand to be one of the worse lands at WDW. I'm hating on it because it's deserved. Why couldn't they have spent the Mickey Ride money on a better land? It makes no sense.

With what they gave us, it should at least have not been a bare bones coaster. I'm still not forgiving Disney for that, and they're not making it look like tinker toys or make it part of a design like TRON. Sure little kids will love the land, but they don't really understand good theming and immersive environments like we do. Fantasyland level theming should have at least been considered for this land.
This should have been a land that will make people want to fly into WDW from across the world. It's not going to do that simply because the land's intended purpose was not that: it's a capacity filler land, and it's not even going to be that good. It will only look worse next to a Billion dollar land. I'll enjoy the land while I'm walking to Toy Story Midway Mania, but unlike Sunset Boulevard where I could spend hours, it's going to be like Dinoland; albeit slightly better.

Again, it won't suck walking through, but it will suck that it will be arguably the worst themed land in WDW when Dinoland's overhaul happens.

People associate Andy with Toy Story more because he was the owner of the toys starting from Toy Story 1 through most of 3. Most people, who haven't watched Toy Story 3 recently, would probably not even remember Molly's name. Just like why Disney doesn't have the Beast in his human form for parades, meet and greets, and merchandise.

Maybe it's just going to be temporary until they can get around to a Star Wars Land expansion? ;)

Thinking about the immersion factor, there's a lot of potential for both to be very popular. I'm very hopeful TSL does not wind up being like Dino land USA in DAK.

Star Wars just isn't my cup of tea. TS gets my vote.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan but I still have reservations about SWL. The immersion and how your activities in the land affect the experience I think may be a hard sell to people who just want to relax and not think on their Disney vacation.

Hmmmmm?????? Star Wars Galaxy's Edge or Toy Story Land for popularity ?
Ya, that's a 'tuffy'

Call me crazy and all and I know I'm going out on a limb on this one but if I'd had to say then, Star Wars.
Just a wild guess on my part.
