What was your best magical moment a cast member did for you?

I don't know of it was really a "Magical Moment" but we have been going on and on about a cast member we met at our resort gift store.

We met him out second night there and went back and forth with obscure Disney trivia without being able to stump him or him stump us.

The whole 8 days we were there it became an evening event that he would see us coming in from the parks and start the exchange back up with no clear winner.

He was fantastic and just a real pleasure to talk to. It's not an over the top gesture or anything crazy, but by the end of the trip he really felt like a friend and it was just great to us.

I would class that as a magical moment for sure! He didn't have to do that, and what he did has stuck with you. O think that's lovely!

In 2016 me, my wife and 2 girls were doing a split stay( 4 nights at the contemporary and 2 nights at pop). On the 3rd night at the contemporary I asked what the cost would be if we stayed the last two nights at the contemporary instead of going to pop. It was around $800 more than what we paid. The manager asked if I wanted to make the change. I said I would get back to her thinking no way. I got a call about 15 minuets later from that same manager. She asked if we would like to stay at the contemporary for the cost of pop! Of course. It was awesome.

A friend and I were at Epcot... went to the Test Track building and were looking at the GM cars on display. A CM noticed we were wearing our pin vests (covered in Mickey and Donald pins). After a brief conversation with her, she gave us admittance to the GM offices on the second floor. We were able to stay in the lounge as long as we wanted, help ourselves to the refreshments, and then got priority entrance to ride Test Track. The lounge area is the bank of blue tint windows just above the entrance...and has a great view of the park. Truly a bit of extra magic for us!

-Just this past February, I saved up enough to take my sister to dinner at San Angel Inn Restaurante for her 21st birthday. She had just been in the hospital a week prior in what was a scary situation for my family. The dinner was emotional enough for the two of us, and after finding out our story, the waitress brought back ice cream with a candle for my sister. We both cried, and I'll never forget how happy it made us.

-In December of last year, my family went down for a crazy 32 hour trip. We had timed it just right to fly early in the morning, do MK, then fly back the next morning. We reserved a campsite at For Wilderness. Well, our flight was delayed by four hours, which cost us valuable park time. My mom called Disney to let them know the situation, and that we might need to cancel the campsite. We ended up going, arriving at the park at 2pm. It was one of the coldest days I've ever experienced in Florida, and we realized there was no way we could handle camping out. We found a cheap room in a hotel and collapsed at 2am. The next morning, we drove to Fort Wilderness to take care of any charges. We found out they had refunded the night's stay at the campsite, and added 2 FastPass+ reservations for whenever we would come back.

-Back in 2007, we had taken my two young aunts (just a few years older than I) to WDW for their first time. I didn't get along well with one, and after having an argument in MK before the fireworks, my dad took me to walk around in Tomorrowland to cool off. We stopped in at Mickey's Star Traders to pass the time, and I was approached by a cast member who told me there were ten hidden Mickeys in the mural on the ceiling. I found them all (with a little help from my dad) and the cast member gave me a "Magical Moments" certificate and a frame to put it in.

-This last one isn't mine, but I felt I should share. Some dear family friends of ours tragically lost a baby just over a month old. They wanted to just escape from everything with their other kids. They called Disney to book a trip, and after hearing their story, Disney gave them a 3-night's stay for free at a resort, along with free tickets to the parks.

I have two stories.
#1 Last year, a CM named Brandon bought the 4 of us lunch at the Liberty Inn. He seated us at a table with linens and silverware. He brought our food out on "real" plates( not paper plates). Our drinks were in glasses, not disposable cups. We spoke with Brandon's manager afterward to compliment him. We also wrote to Disney Corporate to express our gratitude.
#2 In short, about 5 years ago we encountered a real jack- trying to make a big fuss because he thought the bus service from Epcot to Wilderness Lodge was taking too long. When we got back to the hotel, we saw him berating the front desk staff. He was basically lying to try to, "get something for free". When he finally left the front desk, we went up and told the the truth, " How no other person on the bus or waiting in line was complaining" Also, " How he publicly said he wanted something for free".
I don't like liars and I don't like bullies. I just wanted Disney to know that they were not at fault.
The next day, we arrived back to our room after a long day at the parks. There was a knock at the door. I answered and a CM handed me a platter of treats. I said, "we didn't order this". He told me to read the attached note. It was the front desk staff thanking us for our story and honesty. A total surprise.

We went to Mickey's Very, Very, Very Early, Not So Scary Halloween Party for Labor Day Weekend and made an "Orange Bird" costume for our 2 year old son. (It was his birthday trip). When we went to order Dole Whips from the Aloha Isle Refreshments the castmembers insisted that "Mickey" take care of it since Orange Bird was visiting his tree and they couldn't have Orange Bird paying for his treats at his own tree. So our order of 2 Dole Whip floats was complimentary, thought that was a very nice gesture.

I have a few
1) When I was around 9ish we were waiting for MGM/Hollywood Studios to open, and as is typical with my family we were there super early and were first in line at the turnstiles. One of the CMs saw me and my two siblings and asked if we wanted to walk around before the park opened a little bit. She just took us to Crossroads of the World and we walked around that and played with a few of the toys before circling back but I still thought it was pretty cool.
2) That same trip while in one of the giftshops in Tomorrowland, one of the CMs asked if I wanted to play dance dance revolution with them. I think we did three songs and ended with the macarena. Afterwards I got a certificate that I still have to this day.
3) This is a Disneyland story, but in 2016 on my last day in Disneyland my friend, sister and I were attempting to find a spot to watch paint the night. We knew that we were close to the section that was reserved and I approached a cast member to find which spots we could camp out at to avoid being forced to move. She ended up asking for my name and party size and told us to come back half an hour before the parade started for VIP seating right in front of It's a Small World with actual seats to sit on. It was the perfect way to end the trip.

These two stories happened on my last trip with my wife.

1) My wife and I were waiting on line for Test Track. We were about to enter the part of the queue where you are placed on numbers for your design studio but they stopped us. We had to wait until that section of the queue emptied before we could move forward.

As we were waiting, I overheard a few cast members talking to each other. One of them was telling a story of a rude customer from the day before. Clearly a story that wasn’t meant to be heard by guests but it wasn’t offensive or anything. It’s hard to explain the story but the guest was complaining because their party had 5 guests and he only gave them 2 spots for the design studios. He ended the story by repeating what the guest had said, “well that’s just stupid!” I got a good laugh out of it.

Finally, it was time to be put on spots. Sure enough, the same cast member who was telling the story was placing us on our spots. After he gave us a number I sarcastically said, “well that’s just stupid!” He and both laughed together. A few minutes later he came back over to us and gave my wife & I a Rider Switch pass for Test Track which was awesome of him to do! It was good up to 3 people and we could use it whenever.

To end this story, we were on line for a food kiosk at Flower & Garden and got to chatting with a family of 3. My wife and I decided to give them the Rider Switch pass since we wouldn’t have time to ride it again.

2) Our friends stayed with us the last 2 days of our vacation. One of our friends has been to every park besides Hollywood Studios so we decided to do that. We were entering the park around noon and there weren’t any lines for it. As we were approaching the gates to scan our Magic Bands, some of the cast members were super excited and was waving us over to their line. I forget the conversation but I mentioned that it was our friends first time at Hollywood Studios. They ended up giving us a Fast Pass for any ride since it was her first time. We ended up riding Rock N Roller since we didn’t have a previous Fast Pass for it.

Won't say this is the best one, but this is the only one that comes to mind.

My husband and I were at Raglan Road (first stop during honeymoon), and I ordered something I never heard of. The waiter, Terry, looked at me and asked me is it good. I didn't want to be rude, so I said it's ok.

Terry stopped. Looked at me and said "Ok is not Good. Want something else?"

He was awesome! He got me another dish upon request. I guess my face showed my dissatisfaction towards that first plate of food.

This was about 20 years ago. I was in Adventureland at a gift shop with my then girlfriend celebrating her birthday. The cast member must have seen her Disney birthday button and secretly waved me over and asked what her name was. I said Alicia. Less than a minute later a phone at the merchandise counter began to ring. The cast member answered and started looking around saying that there was a call for Alicia?

I nudged her over and she picked up the phone and a recording of Goofy wishing her a happy birthday was waiting for her on the other end in perfect timing with- hello?

Pretty cool.

I have two more. On our last trip we stayed at animal kingdom Jambo in 2016. We rented points for a pool view room so I really thought there was no way we would get an upgraded room. Well we ended up with two savanna view rooms. We didn’t ask for them and they never said anything at check in.
My 6 and 4 year old daughters were getting into pin trading and they were learning a lesson about trading a princess pin. After the trade my 6 year old regretted the trade, so my mom said she would buy her another pin. It was a big pin and the back would stay on. We took back and they gave us new back, but still no luck, so we went to exchange it for another. The manager then gave her a set of 5 Star Wars pins for free.

November 2016 trip. It was the last night of our trip and we were squeezing out whatever time we could at Magic Kingdom and finishing with a later dinner at Crystal Palace on a MVMCP night. We didn’t have party tickets so we expected to be escorted to the exit upon completion of our meal. Our server was one we’d had a few times before and he remembered some silly stuff from our visit 6 months or so prior. He wasn’t rushing us at all. We finally got up to go when a manager came over and asked us if we were going to the party. The kids’ heads dropped...”no, not this year....”. I said “I know, we need to leave. It’s kinda embarrassing to get escorted out. I promise. We’re leaving...” and was kidding around with him when he pulls out wrist bands and says “well do you WANT to go to the party?” OMG. Yes, please! Our server came over with light necklaces, maps, a photo pass card and some other goodies. Best. Night. Ever. Early flight be darned!

The best moment a cast member did for us would be about 5 years ago at Magic Kingdom. We were at the meet and greet for Tinker Bell which was at the spot that Skipper Canteen is at now. It was my daughters turn for a picture with Tink, she did awesome, but the best was with my son. He was about 9 and he sure didn’t want his picture with Tink. You know boys, they don’t want their buddies knowing, so he wanted nothing to do with Tink. Well the cast member playing Tink sure did want a picture with him. She chased him laughing and running around the entire studio. It was the greatest experience seeing my son run from Tink! She chased him in pure Tinker Bell style, and he slowly gave in after about 5 to 10 minutes of having Tink being Tink. It was a very awesome moment to see my daughter laugh and my boy trying to get away, but in the end Tink won and my boy got his picture with her. That cast member went above and beyond what we expected, and gave us a moment we will never forget.
