What to tell my son?

I don't think I ever thought of them not talking. I was just awe-struck by them. And I guess in never thinking about it I just got to the age where I knew there were people in there.

There are people in there?????

Just say "they must not like you". They'll be alright with that right?

My 5 year old has never asked why they don't talk. Mostly I think (as others have said) that they are just so excited they're not even noticing but I also think a big part is how great the characters are at non-verbal communication. Thye usually get their point across just fine.

BTW, I loved the "listen with your heart" response.

Most kids are scared of the characters at a young age, So I highly dought they will ask a question like that and if they do make them watch the castle show I think they still use the moving mouths on the characters, unless that was just a trial thing.
