What to get autographed by characters??

The last time I got anything autographed by the characters I was probably 10 and it was just an autograph book. I'll be in the world in November and my nephews (5 &3) have requested I bring them back something with their favorite characters autographs. My younger nephew is in LOVE with Anna and Elsa and my older nephew only cares about Mickey and the rest of the Fab 5. I have seen other people have characters sign things other than autograph books such as pillow cases, hats, stuffed animals, etc and I was hoping for some suggestions as to something small I can have my nephews favorites sign for them. I'll have a decent sized backpack with me in the parks so I would need the 2 items to fit in the backpack with my other stuff (water bottle, poncho, first aid kit, etc). Thanks in advance!!

Frozen has some really nice cheap hardcover books available so you could get Anna and Elsa to sign the first page. Two of my favorite examples:

Both can be purchased at any book store or online and both are sold in the Magic Kingdom itself :)

You should wear a white t-shirt and let them sign your back, then switch it around once the back is full and do the same again! (:

FYI, characters are not allowed to sign clothing while it's being worn. If you want them to sign something, you'll have to be carrying it.

I've also read the suggestion to get yourself a sewing/needlepoint/cross-stitch ring so that you can put the shirt in it and keep it taut while it's signed.

That's understandable I guess... Still. Could carry the shirt.

We've tried the pillowcase before. We had it in a sewing ring with a little piece of cardboard behind it to try and make it easier for them to sign. We quit doing it after about a day and a half, because it was to much trouble. In the places where you meet more than one character in a row, we felt like we were holding up the line as we were trying to change the ring in between characters. It was clearly more difficult and time consuming for them to sign compared to something like an autograph book.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
Advice: bring a clickable Sharpie. Also, as stated above, make sure that any cloth items are pulled taught and have something hard behind them.

We're bringing cheap white canvas bags I got at AC Moore. They're small enough that DS2 can put a couple books in and lug it around, but big enough that the characters can sign. We're probably only really going for the fab 5 though. DS doesn't watch TV, so he doesn't know who the characters are anyway.

Maybe postcards? You could mail them from Disney with the autographs.

Thanks for all the replies! I love the book idea as they love to read! The postcard is another great idea, they could frame it and put it in their room.

We have done picture matte's, a linen backpack, Encyclopedia of Disney/ Pixar characters, and quilt blocks to name a few. Characters seem to really enjoy seeing themselves in the encyclopedia and often add more than their signature or are more animated than usual.

I was gonna say Picture Mattes like @DisneyDelirious , they fit in a back pack, and you can get multiple characters to sign on one. I got Rapunzel to sign a small frying pan, if you are looking for something more specific to the character, think about things from the movies or cartoons they represent.

Join me, together we can rule the galaxy.
A plush Olaf, that is what my family used for A&E.

For other characters, we used a plush Mickey Mouse and for Donald we used a plush DD. We don't take the characters too seriously in general so the plush are "fun" and the individual character reactions can be very funny especially if you hand Donald Duck a plush Mickey Mouse.

Wow such great ideas! I think I'm going to go with the picture matte this way I can get multiple characters to sign it and then I can put a picture of their favorite character in it and they can hang it in their room. I might have to use some of these ideas on later trips for myself :)

I ordered a cute pillowcase through etsy for my son for our upcoming trip ...now feeling a bit nervous about how it will work out. Don't want to hold up a line or be frustrated...Hmmm...
