What to do

I'll be celebrating my 25th b-day and my 2nd wedding anniversary in June. I would really like to something WDW-related for both. Any ideas or recommendations? My b-day is June 12, which is a Thursday, and my anniversary is June 23, which is a Monday. Also since we live just over an hour away, we'd probably do both days as day-trips.

Since you live so close, why not go all out for one night? Get a fancy schmancy room and live it up. We've done this a couple of times- gone places we usually could never afford, but whose prices we can swing for one night. In fact, for John's last birthday we had a hotel party at a nearby resort with some of our closest friends. It was a blast.

Now this is we could probably do...

Favorite places to eat:
Crystal Palace
Cinderella's Royal Table
Artist Pointe

Favorite rides/attractions:
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Rock n' Roller Coaster
Kilomanjaro Safaris
the Rapids ride at AK

So that narrows it down to 3 parks- MK, MGM, AK

Here's a suggestion:

Why not take the Backstage Magic Tour??

You get to spend all day in the parks, eat a meal there, and have a very memorable experience.

I'd love to spend my birthday that way!

Then...after the tour, you can go over to Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island and dance the night away!

HAVE FUN!

What is the Illuminations tour?

You can rent a boat to see the Illuminations show.

There are two types I belive, a pontoon type, and a speed boat (Breathless). We wanted to do this last year but the Breathless was under renovation at the time. We are deffinatly gonna try for it on our next trip.

Every trip we do I try to do a couple of special things for my wife. We always go on our anaversery.

So far I've done:

Dinner at the Castle, Carrage ride at Ft Wilderness, lunch at Garden Grill with the re-hitching ceremony, upgrading the view at our resort (AKL standard to Savanna), La Nubra tickets, Princess Storybook Breakfast.

Next trip will be the Breathless Cruise, and at least one more thing. It's getting hard to surprise her now, she suspects somthings up when the day feels like it's "scheduled". Allthough I got her good with the carrage ride, she was never at Ft Wilderness, so she hadden't a clue why we were there. And since we walked by the Hoop-de-doo, she though we were going there. :fork:
