What to do on the last day?

Wondering what to do on the last day for parks. I have a base pass. Thought about MK on first day for the opening ceremony. Or...MK on last day for the Wishes. However Wishes is not on the first or last day of my visit. Will be seeing it anyway from Calif Grill when we arrive for dinner so I guess now it doesn't matter when to do MK. So I was wondering if anyone has any favorite last day rituals or a great way to end your trip at the parks. Just trying to decide the best way to end the day. Also like the idea of riding the train around MK. Have never ridden the train before.

Usually on our last day we do a frantic tour of all four parks and hit our favorite rides. Then we go to DTD at night and get some Earl of Sandwiches for the long ride home.

The purpose of our mad dash is to be so exhausted we don't have much energy to be sad that we are leaving.

Last time ended it with a day at Epcot doing little things we normally never take the time to do then we went over to MK for Wishes. We did a few rides, had some pizza, watched fireworks and finally left. On my next trip we are doing things a little different. We are going to eat at Boma and chill at the AKL then head out later in the day.

My plan now is MK first day and Epcot last. Unfortunately Wishes isnt showing the first or last day of the trip. I really wanted to do MK on either first or last. We have a base pass so in order to see Wishes inside we'd have to do MK in the middle of the week. I have seen wishes before.

Besides being very, very sad on the last day, we try to make the most of it. We schedule a late flight and get up early to have breakfast and enjoy a full day. We usually go wherever we feel we need to make up some rides or attractions or wherever I arranged for the breakfast, haha.

Oh, and to keep in mind we are 2 adults going. No kids.

Our family is all adults and there is always emotional kicking and screaming and dragging of feet as we leave MK for the last time before going home. Tantrums, even silent ones, are not just for kids.

Last day ALWAYS has to be MK. Ride the favorite rides one last time, walk through the stores and pick up last minute souvenirs, say goodby to the castle, partners statue, man street,. Take a last train ride, have a last dole whip, caseys hot dog. Flip a few coins into Cinderella's Wishing well to wish for a return trip. Walk ever so slowly out through the train station tunnel and get one last glimpse over my shoulder of Main Street and the Castle. Cry the rest of the way back to my resort....
