So... we aren't even close to getting ready to book a trip but I have a goal of expanding our horizons, dining wise, on this next trip. I'm aiming for sometime in March/April for the trip but that's totally up in the air.

Anyway... one of the things we are going to do is make it a point to stop in at some of the spots that have the specialty cupcakes and do a "Cupcakes Around the World" tour as many folks here have. None of us have had even one cupcake while visiting the world so this will be a great way to switch things up a bit and actually use our snack credits (vs. trading them all in on rice crispies treats on check-out day).

So now that the snack plan is covered, I'm trying to do some thinking about new places to try for using TS credits. With the number of places on property to eat I think it'll probably be easier to list what we have done vs. what we haven't and go from there.

What I'm looking for here are suggestions on places other than these to hit this time and maybe a little re: why. To help... it's myself, DH and DS6. Ok... here goes...

We've Already Done...

MK
Cystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern
The Plaza Restaurant

Epcot
Garden Grill
Coral Reef
San Angel Inn

DHS
Hollywood & Vine

DAK
Rainforest Cafe

Downtown
Rainforest Cafe
T-Rex

Resorts
Chef Mickey's
1900 Park Faire
Ohana
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Cape May Cafe

I'll just list the places I really enjoy for each park day when I am not doing signatures. When signature restaurants are an option, I will always choose those.

MK - My MK day is either Kona (breakfast or dinner) or Whispering Canyon Cafe

Epcot - Les Chefs, Nine Dragons, Marrakesh

DHS - 50s, Sci-fi

DAK - Yak and Yeti, Boma or Sanaa

Sooooo many choices!

In the MK area...my whole family loves Cali Grill. Even my girls prefer it to any character meal.

I also agree that trying something at AKL would be good...Sanaa, Jiko, or Boma.

While I don't see us making it there this trip, I've heard some great things about Kouzzina.

Epcot is going to have your broadest range of choices...we liked (not loved) Le Cellier, had a great meal at Rose & Crown, many years ago I enjoyed Les Chefs and Biergarten. I also want to try Tutto and Via Napoli.

50s Pt and Brown Derby were probably my two faves in DHS.

Here are a couple...

MK- Be Our Guests (it will be open by then!)

DHS- Mama Melrose. We Ctually don't mind it and love that we don't have to leave the park to have a quick sit down meal.

Epcot- le cellier (we love it), biergarten (the show is so fun for little ones and there is yummy beer for you guys!), teppAn edo ( fun show and pretty neutral food for the little one)

Ak- we always go to Ohanas on this day. I would try a resort one since you can just hop a bus there. Not a fan of much in this park.

We need time for things to happen.
You've got a few of my faves on your list already but A few that I like that I would suggest are:

DHS - 50s Prime Time - Interesting spin on the "all American comfort foods" and a unique atmosphere! We REALLY enjoyed our meal here the last time we went.
Also the Cali Grill but I'm not sure if it's going to be in Refurb mode during the span you'll be there.

Awesome suggestion guys! The key here for us obviously is it has to be something DS6 will enjoy as well.

OBVIOUSLY we'll be doing our best to grab ADRs at BoG... that's top of the list! Seems like lots of folks are in agreement on 50s Prime Time, a place we've always wanted to try at DHS in addition to SciFi, so I think I'll definitely put that on the list. Boma is also another one I may have to give a try because I've seen so many people rave about it.

Keep 'em coming guys... you've no idea how much I (and DH) appreciate it! :)

If you like steak...Yachtsman Steakhouse inside the Yacht Club...Im not sure Le Cellier is really any better than this place..the service is fantastic (Signature Resturant).

around the cornner from Yactsman is the Captains Grille...a fantastic 1 credit TS that has an excellent menu..for Dinner...(never ate there for lunch or Breakfast)

Im taking LaLuSue's advice and trying the GF Cafe over labor day

Kouzzinas for Breakfast...they have an interesting Mediterranean twist on breakfast

we loved flying fish and yachtsman steakhouse as well this past trip. a must do for us from now on. the big surprise was la hacienda de san angel. (fantastic!!!) all three were a first for us, but we will do them all again!!! cali grill is always a great choice too. Citricos is great as well. we did jiko and sanaa as well, and enjoyed them. any of these i would try if you are looking for something new to try.

I was looking into the suggestions and it looks like Cali Grill isn't a great choice for rambunctions kids and has a dress code. I probably should've mentioned that I need uber family friendly options, without a dress code, where a hyperactive little boy will go unnoticed. LOL! :D

Our favorites:
Epcot: Biergarten - DD3 loves to dance to the "band" and they have a nice variety of non-standard buffet foods, Via Napoli - awesome Italian food
DHS: 50's - love the atmosphere and DD thinks the "pretend kitchen" is cool to eat in and the food is good, SciFi - DD loved eating in a car and the food was pretty good too
Resorts: Kona Cafe - yummy, Captain's Grille - great food and service, Chef Mickey's - characters and food is good, Boma - great buffett

Tusker House

DHS:
'50s Primetime

Resort:
Kona

If you have time, considering doing Afternoon Tea at the Grand Flridian. It's fabulous!
