Disney has shared a look inside the Feature Animation building:

“In these early years, the work was sketched and inked under the watchful eyes of curious guests touring through The Magic of Disney Animation (currently where Star Wars Launch Bay stands today). The tour opened with the park in 1989, winding groups of guests behind the desks of the animators.”

I can still remember taking that tour as a kid.

I also remember a tour in 2008, it was a walkthrough I believe.

Do you mean that you're thinking Tropical Americas and Monstropolis could both be aiming for 2027, while Piston Peak and Villains could both be aiming for 2028?
I'm not the person you're asking, but yes to 2027 on both of those. 2028 for Peak and 29-early 30 for Villains makes most sense to me. I don't see them wanting to open both major lands in the same year.

We’re all just making educated guesses, but my hunch is 2027 is solely tropical americas, while 2028 is the double-up year where monsters opens in first half while piston peak is second half. Then villains land gets 2029 to itself.

My pet theory is that Monsters has a phased opening depending how fast construction goes with the show opening first late 2026 or early ,2027 with the coaster following late 2027.

I know this likely doesn't imply anything at all on the space's future but I get a good chuckle reading this as, "Look at the pretty office building we have! We don't want to expand the park here. 😣"

Well... A man can dream I guess.
They still have space to do stuff while leaving the FA building. If they bulldoze launch bay and the cast cafeteria (red) and take the parking lot (yellow) they can do something. Green is the main FA bldg

This makes sense considering that it would explain why the opening year of Tropical Americas but not Monstropolis was announced. Plus, Tropical Americas and Villains both have two headliner attractions while Monstropolis and Piston Peak each have one.

just wishful thinking here but, so far today, we’ve gotten a lilo and stitch plug in the parksblog post about the animation building, and now confirmation about development on lilo and stitch 2.

Lilo and stitch would make for an awesome water ride in this area, a “Hawaiian roller coaster ride”, if you will. It would also be pretty cool if the building where lilo and stitch was created and developed was replaced by it’s very own ride.

Yup. Live action. Not a hand-drawn animated sequel. That would never sell.

I hate everything.

Only if the ride is about space/aliens and less about Hawaii.
