DHS What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

Love this! The drawing classes used to be my favorite at DHS! Glad to see it return and an indoor play area for kids has been sorely lacking since the removal of Histk playground.

If this means they don’t shoehorn Simpsons and they wait for something better (Marvel rights, one can hope), then this is a BIG win!

Definitely a plus for the park as a whole; but could have been something more significant with a connecting path to ToT/RnRC. Happy to see Launch Bay leaving (I'm still a huge SW fan!) and some differing themes back in the park but still was hoping for something a bit "more."

This landed with a thud for me.
Partially because I don’t understand what this attraction is. The poster is reminiscent of Once Upon a Studio, so I wonder if the theater will show that short.

This seems like a holdover concept from the 100th that finally is getting the greenlight because people are mad Launch Bay still exists while Muppets doesn’t.

I’m gonna need more information before I’m sold on this, even if only temporarily.

I just hope they bring Darth Vader and others to Galaxy’s Edge or somewhere else. Give people a chance to meet the original characters.
Yeah, the (overdue) removal of launch bay is a potential pathway to a much looser timeline over in Galaxy’s Edge. Obviously it’s already fairly loose with the presence of Mando and Grogu but I think the strict timeline days are over. The presence of Star Wars characters outside of the sequel trilogy will be necessary with the loss of the Vader M&G. Hopefully we can even eventually get a third attraction with original trilogy or prequel trilogy characters, although that may be wishful thinking. M&Gs would be a fine start

I have a different take. While I'm still not pleased about the removal of ROA, Disney has done some things going back to its roots.

Off the top of my head,
  • Converting this back to the Animation Experience, albeit modified, as it was when Disney-MGM first opened
  • Bringing back dive chamber demonstration in Seas
  • Test Track 3.0 with a nod back to World of Motion

The reaction is baffling. This is exactly the short-sighted, penny-pinching behavior people supposedly hate from WDW.

There's a solid lineup of Marvel B heroes that will be overlooked by the other castle parks. These options plus Big Hero 6 could work.

A-
Dr. Strange and mystical heroes

B
Ghost Rider ?
Moon Knight
Shang-Chi ?
Blade

C
Young Avengers
....Are you thinking what I'm thinking? This is almost the perfect set up to a Midnight Suns ride (they probably would never do it but come on)

Wow, never had a thread I started become THE thread before.

I am enormously gruntled to hear about this, even if it's temporary. This is exactly the kind of thing that belongs in this park, especially in this location. It's a tribute to the hard work of the animators who worked there. Bring it on!
I agree on this, this seems like a wonderful compromise to have something going on in this area. Maybe it means AC sticks around for a little longer (and hopefully) they get rid of the stuff behind it first so that there's a limit to how many construction walls are all over this park.
