What should they do with Animation Courtyard?

How would you all feel if a single attraction replaced animation courtyard as opposed to a new land?
Keep animation courtyard intact and expand animation activities for all ages. I feel that WDW is getting further away from the original reason Walt Disney created the theme park. The animation attractions were a wonderful place to learn about animation as well as how the characters were created. No rides should be in this area unless it genuinely ties in with animation.

It depends. If it's getting connected to Sunset Boulevard, it needs to be a new land with minimum 2 attractions plus dining and shops. If it's just replacing Launch Bay, 1 attraction will be fine

If it’s just launch bay, where else would DHS have to expand? Indy? Muppets? Maybe pair it with a second attraction! Somewhere else

they need to demolish and relocate all backstage facilities instead of just demoing the courtyard building. Too much wasted potential in a massive plot of land to just have 1 attraction imo. you could easily build a fully flushed out land with 3-5 attractions and that would really help DHS imo cause that park is the worst of the 4 FL parks. Or as someone said also a massive indoor area themed like tokyos little mermaid area. All indoors and shaded, 4-5 smaller kid rides and a bunch of space to explore while parent shill out and sit and relax

Shill or chill? I'd say it works either way 😂

I think the eventual goal of Hollywood Studios should be to have a themed land for each of Disney's major film studios. We already have Lucasfilm & Pixar (& Muppets!). They need lands for Marvel, 20th Century and mainline Disney. Replace the Courtyard area with something from one of those & connect it back to RnRC.
In my mind is I agree with you. Expand them for diff properties, and finish/expand the muppets.

Which is why GMR should still exist and Toy Story Land should not.

They could have actually really freshened up those existing scenes with digital mapping and projection to make them feel more alive...and it needed a rewrite...a completely new, well written script. Change out Alien for somthing better, and a whole new ending film with in-theater effects. That could have brought the attraction forward with MMMRR in the Animation building with a complete Disney Animation Studios theme to that land... Set in the 30s/40s a living studio where the animated characters are real...like Roger Rabbit, but more Disney focused...

Tarzan replaced with og POTA. Footlight parade with steamboat Willie?
Idk if they'd go tit for tat with similar replacements. But the ride could've had the likes of Titanic, Home Alone, The Sound of Music, Independence Day, Cast Away, Planet of the Apes, Die Hard, Predator, etc... Tons of iconic options were possible once they owned Fox.

If Monsters Inc were to replace launch bay, I wonder if they would reuse the existing building for queue and possibly load/unload, or tear it all down and start from scratch

Launch Bay would be poorly configured for reuse as anything other than a museum. I would be very surprised if it got the Universe of Energy treatment. Likewise, the Walt Disney Presents and the Little Mermaid buildings are extremely unusual for their current use. I think any major investment in Animation Courtyard would probably rationalize the entire quarter.

looks pretty awesome imo! Hopefully they can add more than one attraction to the animation courtyard area, its soo vast.
