What should be the next WS pavillion?

I would vote for Greece.

As architecture plays a big part in the appeal, plus as noted they could create a great "mythological" ride - plus food, and uzo!:ROFLOL:

Ireland, often mentioned, is sort of covered with the United Kingdom pavilion (okay, Northern Ireland). Lets not get worked up about that . . .

And yes, more rides - not big-thrill rides that would detract from the mood of WS though. It would be great if they followed through with the original plan for Germany and the boat ride down the Rhein. You can still see the original que and entry at the rear of the square, but the idea was abandoned, no doubt due to money concerns.

Maybe Italy could be more interesting if they built a Venice area into the WS lagoon! A few little islands and gondola rides? Nah, as cool as that would be it would likely ruin the look of the lagoon . . .

And yes, International Gateway is necessary and a beautiful place to slip away . . . . and escape to the Boardwalk:lol:

Any new country would be great just as long as it has a ride.
Thats exactly what came to my mind when I read the title. I dont want to see a new country at all unless we get a solid d-ticket with it. If not just add the 2 rides you so need into WS first and wait on the new country.

Brazil may be too similar to Mexico...
Having visited both Mexico and Brazil, I say they are quite distinct.

Brazil would be my choice for a new WS pavillion for several reasons. As others have mentioned, there is a need for South American representation in WS. I also feel that since the majority of th world's population is in third world countries there needs to be more representation of them. Brazil is one of the largest countries in the world. It features a racially-diverse yet well-adjusted population that the world needs to appreciate. Brazil uses Portuguese, a language spoken by a large number of people in the world but is not used in WS already. (For this reason, I'd also like to see India and Russia represented). Brazil is home to the Amazon, the largest river in the world, and its accompanying rainforest. As others have mentioned, I think it provides many possibilities for an attraction of some sort. They also have the amazing Iguazu Falls http://gosouthamerica.about.com/od/topdestiguazu/ig/Iguazu-Falls-Photo-Gallery/index.htm, which sits on the Agentinia-Brazil border and is twice as tall and four times as wide as Niagra Falls. Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and other coastal cities would provide interesting architecture. Most importantly, the FOOD! I can see a Brazilian pavillion featuring a Churrascaria restaurant which is a brazilian barbecue where they bring food out to your table on spits right as soon as it comes off of the fire. (The restaurant Texas de Brazil is a play off of this.) Often, a Churrascaria is an all-you-can-eat service. One more thing, Brazilian visitors used to represent the third largest group of international visitors to Orlando (Brazilian tour group anyone?) so a Brazilian pavillion would be a good PR move for the mouse.

So, Brazil's my vote. Can you tell I was there recently? :p

Russia, India, or Greece

WS does such a good job of showcasing different architectural styles I would like to see a country that has a different look about it. Russia has their unique spires, or course India has the Taj, and then Greece has classic Greek architecture. Personally I would prefer they stay clear of movie tie ins for WS pavilions, although I guess India with flying carpets and such wouldn't be too bad for an Aladin tie in (and the resulting threads from people screaming about another hub and spoke ride could provide balance to the multitude of wand threads that would no longer be around by then (sorry for the questionable sentence construction)).

Yes, India.

India may actually be the most viable choice for a new pavillion in terms of uniqueness and the practical ability to build it and staff it.

I was certain I wanted it to be Australia until I read some of the posts here...

Greece and India are also lovely ideas.

I'm going to still vote for Australia though. I'd love for there to be a place to hear didgeridoo (sp?) music. I can see a backdrop being Ayer's rock or the Sydney opera house (I'd prefer Ayer's rock, personally).

That would be cool. And it does fit with a movie they already have. And except for the topiary over by the refreshment outpost, I can't think of the Lion King anywhere else in EPCOT. Correct me if I am wrong.

I'm only correcting you because you asked for it, but there is the "Circle of Life" thing in the Land Pavillion as well.

The thing about India and Africa are that they are represented in another park quite significantly (DAK). I'd love to see them in WS too, but I think they would be represented twice in that case and people might get bored/angry/something else.

WDI could build Switzerland between Germany and China (Area currently known as The Outpost) and build a matterhorn mountain type bobsled ride! The location is large enough and it would be awesome to see.

Then they could do Greece between France and Morocco, and have a ride themed to mythology. The architecture would be amazing!

*sigh*...baby, why couldn't it have worked out?

Jeeze though, this whole thread makes me smile ear to ear when I hear "Brazil." I would love to see Christ the Redeemer on the Corcovado replicated.... sans-Mickey Ears, if you don't mind. About time the Cariocas got representation *flashes 3 caballeros gang signs...*
